1. Use your fingernails to twist off the roller ball cover (turn counterclockwise). Clean the cover inside and out with a damp paper towel
2. Take the ball out and clean it thoroughly - set aside to dry after you are finished. Use canned air to shoot air into the mouse casing to remove dust and loose dirt (some should fly out). Examine where the mouse ball normally sits and you will see 3 rollers. These rollers will have caked on debris. use a toothpick or pencil eraser to carefully scrape this debris off of each roller. Be sure you clean the entire roller.
3. Replace the mouse ball and twist the cover back on (clockwise).
