I'm not gonna get involved in this, but I just wanted to point out that in the past Mike has been involve in some of this forum's best game discussions. The guy DOES care about gaming, or at least he used to, so your above statement isn't quite accurate. It's easy for someone who just showed up to take a snapshot of his current antics and generate a perceived agenda based on it. Just keep in mind  there are years of prior history your snapshot might not accurately represent. I'm not going to take a stance on it either way, but historically speaking Mike has always had a pretty fine tuned Bullshit Detector[TM].

Just remember, this IS Fighting Street and as they say, "anything goes." If we feel he, or anyone else, is crossing the line in the regular forum areas, action will be taken.

Yeah, he presented some good information BITD.  And he called some well-deserved jerks out on their BS.  And he hooked me up with a free Genny PSU at shipping cost only.  And a broken clock is right twice a day.

He's not the worst guy in the world, but he got away with an unbelievable amount of crap.  We have a few guys who know how to balance their "Valued Contributor:Dickwad Ratio", but Mike was never one of them.  His constant fussing, swearing, post editing, and unintelligible grammar sucked.  His endless flame wars and paragraphs upon paragraphs of quotations and response to every last sentence were retarded.  He took every passing comment as a personal insult and passed immediate judgement and retaliation on every last rookie and clueless seller.  Worst of all was his penchant to get really, really, creepily personal. The only way he could "win" arguments was by resorting to all sorts of off-site detective work.  We still have people's home addresses and personal pictures that Mike posted sitting on these boards.  The fact that you and the other mods never called him on that or removed any of the posts shows a real lack of judgement.

In my opinion, any time someone posts a picture of themselves here (or anywhere online, for that matter), they're essentially giving that property up to the public domain. If people don't want their photos available online for anyone to see, they shouldn't post them in the first place. It's not like someone snuck into their homes and stole the pictures against their will.

Addresses, on the other hand, are another story (unless you're Nintega, who forfeited all rights to "fair treatment" here 4-5 years ago). If there are personal addresses up here as you claim, PM me privately with links to the threads and I'll remove them. On the other hand, had anyone at any point contacted me and asked me to remove their info from public threads, I would have complied without hesitation. I can recall only one such instance, and it was addressed promptly, if memory serves.

As for the rest of it, I can't justify going and disciplining/banning someone just because you (that's a collective "you," not necessarily you specifically) happen to dislike the individual in question. Mike's often been abrasive in his tactics and has a knack for creating polarized opinions of himself among fellow forum members. Unfortunately for those championing his permanent dispatch, a personal grudge and occasional poor grammar isn't sufficient grounds.

It's easy to sit on the sidelines and play armchair moderator, but I (can't speak for the other two) have to try my hardest to stay neutral on these issues and find a happy medium between doing nothing and having an itchy trigger finger. Lord knows I don't always succeed. Sadly, there's no such thing as a perfect world (or a perfect moderator). That's not a lack of judgement... That's life.

Obviously, grammar isn't the issue here.  Also, I never had a grudge or got into it with MH back in the day.  I know a vortex of negativity when I see one and I never kicked that hornets' nest.  My fuse blew when we suddenly reappeared and laid into me after seeing some links in the Hall of Shame to posts that...uh...exemplified his character.

My point is that Mike got away with way more than has ever been tolerated before or since.  Every day it was "gee, who's Mike going to swear at, insult, and personally attack today?"  He was smart enough to make a few friends and not to piss off the wrong people, and yes, he made some contributions, but generally he made the boards feel like Gamefaqs.

Anyway, thanks for your response.  I know I'm not the easiest to get along with either.

Just wanted everyone to know that this is from the point where I'd given up trying to reason with him and actually began to feel a little sorry for him so, I tried witnessing to him, telling him to take care of him self or get some help or whatever, told him good bye and put him on ignore status.

Within seconds it seemed, he retorted with that junk about the Lord telling him this that and other.


31 now. Be careful here, guys. Seriously. I do have reason to believe that this guy is Nintega. He slipped earlier on and outed himself but, then he's probably done that several times over by now.

Backtrack through some of his posts from last night. You'll see it.

This guy is a sociopath. Their ability to understand and comprehend normal emotions like remorse, sadness, compassion... it's tremendously damped by whatever birth defect that they suffer from.
Most of these types are born with a different type of brain-wiring and they mainly act out like this more out of frustration then, genuine anger.
I'm no doctor. I don't know it all but, I know (<-forgot this word) a little from things that I've read over the years.
He doesn't know how to access true logic or true heartfelt feelings so, he lashes out in frustration at anyone who gets to close.

I don't want to say anything more. At least not until I know a little more about this type of condition.

Be extremely cautious. They can be unusually clever at times.
