I was thinking about this the other day. What are some of the better sports titles out there?
Madden was pretty good compared to other versions, I think. Which others?
I don't know if it counts because it's a racing game, but I've always enjoyed Final Lap Twin.
And I prefer Takin' it to the Hoop over TV Sports Basketball. Which reminds me, I need to hunt down a copy of that again...
World Class Baseball
My dad and I had alot of fun plying World Class Baseball back in the early 90s. Thats the only sports game for the Turbo that I have experience with tho
Best sports game on any system ever....Power Eleven!!! Love that game.
I've had a good time with World Sports Competition, Power Golf, World Class Baseball, Takin' It to the Hoop (2 player), and both tennis games.
It's pretty much impossible to have any fun with Super Volleyball.
Hit the Ice and Final Lap Twin are good, but I don't think they qualify as sports games.
I had some fun in the world court tennis RPG
Me and my friends enjoyed TV Sports Football BUT only when you used SUPERSPEED as the cheat code lol.
I need to try that cheat code out.
The tennis RPG mode was really cool too. It's much like final lap twin's which I really enjoyed. Too bad they didn't make more like these. I found them to be really unique and original.

Yes deff think they should do some newer sports titles that way again. Gets you into a 1 player game really quick.
You gotta press II + Select to enter password mode. They had a bunch of other codes but Superspeed made the game more enjoyable.
Hit the Ice still it's the only sports game i realy enjoy on the console.
I'd like to say that I enjoy any of the US release sports games except for any of the golf games. I just had to be in the mood to play one though if that makes any sense. I can always have fun playing platformers but had to be in the mood for a sports game to be enjoyable to me. Never played to many non imported sports games.
I've played all the way through World class baseball, TV sports football, and TV sports basketball. Hit the Ice and World sports competition are great multiplayer ones.
The RPG mode in Final Lap Twin was a really great surprise. It turned an otherwise pretty flat game into something I really dove into. I need to track down World Court Tennis now, didn't realize there was another sports RPG on the Turbo.
Glad we could bring that into the light for you.
If there are any other sports RPGs please let us know. I'd love to play one.
Slightly off topic, does anyone know of any for other game systems?
I've played a surprising amount of World Court Tennis over the years, I also like Hit the Ice. Madden isn't bad either.
Power Golf for me, simple and relaxing game.
World Class Baseball was a blast with a friend, if only for stealing bases.
Davis Cup Tennis is the best US Sports game.
I also really like Super Volleyball
especially when you hit the other team in the face and send them flying.

I was really impressed with the audio samples and reverb on DCT; then I listened on headphones... still, not bad for a hucard.
I almost forgot about Davis Cup Tennis. Great game, and yes the samples were a very nice touch.
On that note, I remember a boxing game (Champions Forever?) with some nice sampled music. Too bad more hucards didn't explore this playback technology. I'll bet some nice things could have been done with simple loops.
I'm not a fan of sports games, so Final Lap Twin is the only one that's really worth playing to me, and maybe John Madden Duo CD Football (what a mouthful) for the FMV.
I hate Davis Cup Tennis. But it's probably because I suck at it. :) It does have some pretty impressive sounds though.
Super Dodge Ball(Import) also has some RPG elements as you gain/drop players from teams you encounter. Of course this is all in moon man language, but still, because it's Kunio, you can assume the storyline is excellent.
