Hey everyone,
Today I went to Classic Game Junkie in Glenside, PA. They had a lot of amazing stuff, but unfortunately, they used eBay pricing for their games.
In the end, I just got Ys 1 and 2, Super Mario 64 loose cart($18!?), and Dungeon Explorer II.
I've heard that Dungeon Explorer II is one of the rarer titles. I somehow got it for just $30. It has the case, manual and game. What is the current value of it? Thanks.
Oh man $30? Congrats!

Thanks, but can you answer the question? :)
well, it's a tough thing to answer these days.
I paid $200 for mine, here.
a bit back, a few copies sold for somewhere in the $500 neighborhood.
with that said, even ebay seems to have calmed down a bit, as the last one ended at $217, from what I see.
so in all honesty, i'd say it's worth about $200 to the correct buyer, but it would take some work to get that.
that said, PLAY THAT SHIT! it's a damned good game, and you got a fine deal on it, i'd at least hang onto it until i finished it.
Thanks, I'll hold onto it. I can't wait to play it after I'm done with Ys. ;)
I'm surprised I got such a great deal. That store had gouged prices, so I had a hard time buying stuff there.
I'm hoping to buy a real Turbo Duo instead of just a PCE Duo-R so I can play my copy on the real thing. :)
SHHHHHHHHHHHITTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i went to school in glenside. that place always had crap when i went :( . Also if you have a duo R don't waste money on a regular duo - no reason man, same as the black PCE duo with the Turbo Duo name on it, and the cd drives are the same and un-region protected.
yeah, there is literally NO reason to spend the extra money on a US duo, IMO.
it's super easy to region mod the system, or there's people around here who can do it.
plus, the Duo-R doesn't have the cap issue to worry about.
personally, i've got a briefcase setup, and that's a thing of beauty, imo.

Wow. You sure you didn't get the PCE version?
I got the US version in June for 108.00 + shipping. It goes up and down.

Nope, it is the U.S. one.

What?
By any chance would you be willing to part with the manual? :P I got mine loose for 90ish with the case black friday deal from Stone Age Gamer.
Good deal!

I hope you're being facetious.
I always like hearing that a True BelieverTM got a great deal, even if it makes me a little jealous.

The last one that sold on eBay went for $190 via best offer. I had threw an offer on it for $100 just to see how the guy would respond. He replied with a counter offer of $180 and in the notes said something along the lines of my offer being low ball but he understood why I did it. It then sold for $190 via best offer to someone else. I had no intention of buying it, I was just testing the waters.
I'm in no way, shape, or form saying eBay sales are what games are worth. Only stating what the last DE II sold for there.
I got lucky a early last year with my copy. I happened to be online when it went up for BIN at $130.00. Of course I snatched it.
