I made a $200.00 offer on a $300.00 listing on feebay, and my offer was accepted.  I'm not thrilled about paying that much for it, but such is life.  At least the guy gave me the shipping free, even though I didn't ask for it.  I got the two games together for $210 shipped.  Unless a forum member here will give someone a break, I don't think it's findable for under $200 nowadays.  :(

And oh! The french version has been over for almost 3 years and is still waiting to be implemented. Sometimes, some people wonder why there are not more translations of PCE games. When you spend 5 years on and off translating a game, and the translation is not implemented, it doesn't help you try and translate any more games.

Congrats for the haul too! I dunno about the other games, but I think you could have done better with 1941 if you held out. On Amazon Japan multiple sellers are offering the game cheaper. (as low as ￥9,650, which is about 100 bucks)

That's usually the way it goes.
My understanding is that the only way to buy through Amazon Japan is through a proxy service, and since this was my first time to use a proxy service, I wanted to have as few wrinkles as possible.  I actually only wanted to get Madou Monogatari and the Anearth Fantasy Stories Mook at first, because they were at the very top of my want list, but when I was browsing through Surugaya's stock, I saw the other 6 which I really had been wanting as well for quite a while, and I went ahead and pulled the trigger.

I'm still rather newbish at buying things internationally outside of eBay and somewhat afraid of being ripped off, so since altogether I think  [-o<  that I got a decent if average deal, I'll keep my chin up.   :-"

I think a lot of shooter fans look over it because of the lack of score but it's really awesome and worth figuring out and finishing. The ending is a really nice full vocal track. I uploaded it on YT but try and beat it to hear it for yourself first

I got to the end of the 2nd stage last night and really enjoyed what I played. Some very cool concepts going on in the game and nice intro to set the stage. Yeah score doesn't matter so much to me personally. O:)

On the PC Engine platform, there were two releases:
Once, as the double-CD case with manual and art book (CDROM was the
white-and-green one), and once as a "MOOK" - a magazine/book with a CDROM
included, fromDengeki MOOK.  In Emerald Dragon's case, it was a "capture
guide" book, and I believe the version of the game was a full version
(rather than just a playable demo).

There were 3 MOOKs in the Dengeki series:
1: Emerald Dragon
2: Bakuretsu Hunter
3: Seiya Monogatari (An Earth Fantasy Stories)

There were also other MOOKs released by other publishers, such as:

Tengai Makyo Kabuki Den (this may be a playable demo)
3x3 Eyes (I just got this, so I don't know what the game CDROM is - but the

That's pretty cool, I didn't know there was some sort of a connection with these 3 games. The guy in your quote from the TurboList BTW is David Shadoff who has and knows everything when it comes to TG-16/PC Engine (he also helped me with the Ys IV project!). Tucci- you don't have to glue it, but you might want to depending on what version of ever drive you have. It fits the v1.2 well enough that it was hard to pry off with my fingernails, whereas it is easily removed on v.1 cards (but not so easily that it'll fall off the back of your turbo express).

It won't work with it. It only works with Arcade CD titles I'm afraid and maybe a few SCDs (not sure), but definitely doesn't work with that HuCard.

Hey, sorry for my late post. Was quite busy the last couple of weeks.

The IFU doesn´t really "attach" to it. You get 2 pieces of plastic that slide into holes on the ROM2 AMP. They are moulded in a way that you just lay the suitcase on top of it, e.g. there is no "click" or pin pushed in or lock switching.

It is just that simple and at the same time doesn´t look cheap. You can take off the suitcase anytime you want without hitting a button. Plus the ROM2 AMP has an additional power outlet, thru which one could power the whole IFU as well. A maximum of 100W is possible.

Since I live in Europe I bought a switching adapter that outputs 100V from a 230V line, quite cheap (I think I didn´t pay more than 15 Euros for it) also. Stay away from the obvious china fakes - best place is Amazon where I live.

From the screenshots on the back, definitely looks like a regular baseball game (similar to the Power League series -- no fat, pudgy Famista style players) with perhaps some enhancements thrown in for the CD format.  Strangely enough, I see no youtube vids of this particular title online.

Either way, I really love baseball games on the PCE, so I'm sure I'll love it. 
Been playing a partial season of Intec's baseball game on the PCE CD ROM while waiting for this one to arrive.

Regarding that blue bag in Super Play's post, I was also wondering if it had a specific purpose.  Perhaps it's for the PC Engine GT handheld?  Or maybe it's one of those Japanese style pen cases (see www.jetpens.com (http://www.jetpens.com) for similar items)?

As far as I can tell it is just a belt bag for general stuff.   As jtucci31 has noted it is too small for a GT.

If you mean just the white tray, you can get replacements relatively cheap off amazon/ebay/etc.

The game is divided in two segments and you will eventually guide 14 warlords who each have a part in  ruling parts of Japan.  But you start at Chihaya fortress and controling Kusunoki Masashige from the time period 1294 1336. Its battles and strategy from the get go in Hex style!  Both games do require back up ram as there is much progress to be made in these games.

 I'd post picture but 4 hours driving home while dealing with rush hour traffic that moved at snail pace (why its called rush when it's slow is beyond me) and I am tired.    :-&
