I recapped the 2.5" LCD's controller board in my TE and it seemed to almost completely eliminate the occasional screen rolling. I'd like to do the same to my 3.5" screen's controller, but it has SMD caps that I can't identify.
Could someone with a Capacitor Tester measure the caps on their 3.5" LCD's board and report back with their values? I'd greatly appreciate the help.

The SMD caps are labeled "100 16S 8R1" and "05 22 35G"

It's from this style of 3.5" LCD

My recapped 2.5" LCD's board to show that nice caps fit fine.

Sprague > Cheng (or whatever they were)
Where did you find those 3.5" LCD? Those I found that are 4:3 has integrated board and would be thick while yours has detached board that could be re-positioned where it fits.
Here (http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5-inch-TFT-LCD-Car-Rear-View-Digital-Monitor-DVD-VCR-2CHs-Video-Gadgets-gi-/251584933137) is a link to the seller that I got mine from. No AV1 either!
How does the screen work as far as adjustments are concerned such as brightness, color etc...?

This screen has no controls. It's supposed to be better quality than the LCDs pulled from the car monitors, which is why I went with it. I put the car monitor style 3.5" in my Nomad, and it's a huge improvement but I'm hoping this new style will be sharper and not have the "AV1" text at power-up.
Unfortunately I have to wait for a replacement screen because mine came pre-cracked. When it arrives, I can do a side-by-side comparison between the car monitor style and the new screen using two of my Nomads.

Actually, don't buy your screen from the seller that I linked. They have sent me two in a row that were smashed during shipping. I asked them to use a box after the first one arrived broken, but they still sent it in a plain envelope and the same thing happened twice...
Wow nasty! Seller probably thought he's saving by using cheap stuff rather than a box (and slightly higher postage) but when he starts losing money to chargeback claims and returned LCD, he better switch to box
