I have heard that Arcade Pro works with all PCE.
The Arcade Duo only works for Duo and Duo-R.
How will the original briefcase setup work with the Arcade Duo, not at all? Or just super cdrom games?
There is no system card rom on the Arcade Card Duo, only the extra ram, since the Duo already has the Super CD system card built-in.
So using it on an IFU setup, it would be missing 1.5 megs of ram for ACDs and have no system card to run any CD games at all.
arcade card duo is for use with any DUO and the larger gray Super CD-rom2 drive. Both an IFU setup and regular Turbo grafx would require the arcade card PRO.
So basically if you want to play arcade CD games on an IFU setup you have to pay an arm and a leg to get an Arcade card pro. There are lots of people who do not even bother with the arcade card just because there were so few games made for it where most of them have ports on other systems anyways.
Thanks for the reply, guess I have to get a system card and play those arcade on my duo.

I had a glance on eBay just now. You're not lying. lol
And here I thought $50 was too much when I eventually got one a few years ago.
Pro have been priced crazily on eBay for many years now. Duo isn't cheap either though.
I guess the Arcade Card Duo wouldn't even start at all on a briefcase setup since there's no ROM as Black Tiger said. It would be similar to turn the console on with no HuCard inserted.
Hey, those Everdrive bums should have at least one real card.
