Ok, will do.  Thanks!

Hi everyone.  I just finished installing my Obey and am getting only a black screen.  I checked the solder points, and they seem all right... am I just missing one that may not be connected, or is there something else that could be the culprit?  Thanks for any assistance!  Mike Shear

Awesome!  I thought those looked like they were unused areas, but punch out?  Thanks so much!! Mike

Hi everyone!  I was installing my Obey chip in my Turbografx 16 and mounted it on the plastic shield over the Hu Card slot.  When I went to put the shell back on I found it was not going to work as the wires were keeping the shell from "locking" into the motherboard.  Where is a good place to put the chip that won't damage the motherboard?  Thanks!  Mike

Okay, that is easy enough.  Thanks!

Hi everyone.  I have installed my Obey chip, and need to draw an additional 5v for my component chip.  I used the Hu Card pin for the Obey chip... Where else are good points to get 5v from the Turbografx?  Thanks a lot!  Mike Shear

Yes, but I was under the impression the third pot only affected brightness and the other two were blue/green red/green balance.  Is that wrong?

Okay... I messed with the two color controlling pots again and no change.  The pot that controls blue gives me very yellow or an almost muted look on the two extremes.  I can only get a tealish green.  That is as closed to a blue as I can get unless the red is cranked way up making everything else wrong (and even still it would barely pass as a blue).  If it is not the setting of the pots is there any other possible thing I can do to get this to work?  I have perfect blues thru the RF.  I have checked every point from the expansion bus to the chip and from the chip to the jacks.  The only thing I have not redone are the connections to the jacks themselves as that would be very difficult to achieve.  Thanks again to everyone for their advice, but at this point I cannot believe it is the pots.  Thanks, Mike

Well I originally used the expansion bus, but I just ran the blue from the 6260 and got the same results.  Looks nice, just too much green and not enough blue.

I have adjusted both pots up and down the spectrum and had no luck getting close to a blue color.  I think it is either the chip (which I believe is the last possible answer), or a mistake I have made at some point (very likely).  Also, as I don't seem to have any jailbars on the CRT, would that mean I actually fixed them on the analog end, or are jailbars just not as apparent on a CRT?

Hi.  I basically got the colors a point where everything looks just about right except for the blues.  I used Bonk's Revenge to test the color of the water on level one.  Way off no matter how I adjusted the color.  I have resoldered the connections to the chip from the expansion bus and from the chip to the jacks, but no good.  Oh, the caps I used on the jailbar fix are 4.7uf.  I was directed to use the RGB amp walkthrough to find the locations of the caps that needed to be replaced, but should I use the 22f caps that the component walkthrough recommends?  Thanks

Hello everyone!  I have been attempting to try my hand at modding my Turbografx with on of T-16PCEmod's RGB to component chips (v 2.0) and have a couple small problems.  First of all I cannot seem to get any blues to show up correctly.  They all have a greenish hue to them.  I attempted to adjust the colors on the chip, but that only made it worse.  Secondly I just cannot eliminate the jailbars.  I replaced the caps with 10uf caps C134 and C139, but they are sticking around.  Any advice for any of this?  Oh, and I tried this on my CRT and Plasma.  The CRT had no jailbars, but the color was still off...  Thanks!  Mike

Okay, sweet! Yeah, I think that component is all around the cheapest route as I don't have a converter.  I think I need to have my father in law pick me up one next time he is in China to help with the cost a little.  Thanks for the halp!  Mike

Cool.  Would the picture quality be identical?

Hey everyone, I was considering adding an RGB amp to my Turbografx 16 and have televisions (one CRT one Plasma) that handle 240p.  Do I still need the converter/upscaler, or am I okay running directly from the console to the tv?  I was thinking of using a 9 pin din out to a component adapter.  Thanks, Mike

Okay, thanks!  I figured that going full sized right away would be a risk, and I really don't want to crack the case.  Thanks for the help everyone!  Mike

Hey everyone.  I am just starting to look into modding my Turbografx with component video out, and was wondering which type (or types) of drill bits I will need to install the av jacks during the mod.  Any other tools I may need to do the job right?  Thanks a lot!  Mike Shear

What did you need for Vigilante?

Hi.   I just got a T-16 (after selling mine when young), so I don't have anything for trade, but what would you need in cash to part with Dungeon Explorer?  Thanks!
