As far as winter based racing games go, I can never forget one of my favorite ones on the PSX...SLED STORM!!!!!! I loved that game as I remember playing it at a buddy's house as a kid when it was new and I love Rob Zombie and DrRAGULA is on the games OST and is one of the songs you can listen to that plays randomly during races. I re-bought that game for cheap at a flea market just for memories...had to have it. I still find it fun even after all these years.

Also, I just remembered that there is at least one or more snowy area's in Valkyrie Profile for PSX in case I failed to mention that earlier. Wasn't mentioned yet in the post. As I am playing the game now, if I can find/figure out the area I will edit my post and add the name in just for specifics.

I used to play magic way back in the day(I started right after revised edition was going out but really started getting into it before/when ice age came out. I will never forget being new/stupid to the game and upon my first 3 ice age packs getting a jesters cap, than trading it off for 3 shit rares to a friends brother at the time who was really into the game and knew much much more than I did. HAHA stupid me but keeps the memories alive...

I played/collected Magic for YEARS...both for fun and in small tournaments that hosted drafting, actual tournaments w/ the updated sets, and w/(cant remember the name) the version of tournaments where you could use decks of older sets. I used to have decks worth $300-$600+ when I played in those tourny's back then.

Anyway, I have not been following magic anymore since I gave it up so I have no idea what's going on now/whats new etc. Once they hugely changed the rules to me it killed the game itself and turned a 15+ year player away for good. Taking away mana burn, calling the in play area "the battlefield" and everything else they did killed it bigtime for me. That is just one man's feelings/opinions. I sold off/gave away all my cards/decks for little to nothing after that. I WAS going to keep my Chaos Orb card just for remembrance and shit but I decided everything was going so that sold for cheap as fuck(less than $30) as I didn't care.

If you still play yugiohmagic the gathering(as I call it) than good for you and I hope you are having fun. Magic used to be a very fun, strategic, and entertaining game to play...for fun or serious. I wont ever get back into it(my buddy who stopped playing than restarted tried hard to get me to go back to the tourny's w/ him and play/get back into it...but I refuse as I truly hate w/ a passion what they did to the game and what its become. He's doing well though...winning tourny's and loves drafting.

I admit I miss it a little at times but it passes. Was cool to see this post...been awhile since I talked about it/thought about it and I had no idea anyone on here was into it.

I just imported the Premium Box set of Tales of Destiny Directors Cut for PS2 which comes w/ a cool box, the game(of course), a sweet Art Book full of illustrations, and a Special CD w/ Various songs from various games in the Tales of Series.

So I am currently listening to that CD. It is pretty damn good I must admit. I have always felt the Tales of games have pretty damn good music in them. I think Final Fantasy games have better music but Tales of games have IMO pretty damn good OST's.

What is everyone else who hasn't posted yet listening to?

It is snowing here right now as we speak in Massachusetts. BAH!!! I might be one of the few people who feel this way, but I HATE SNOW!!! I HATE IT!!! GAH! We are expected to get at least a foot of snow here by the time it ends so I am not looking forward to that at all -_-.

Anyway, as far snow in games...I can say for certain at the very least, at or near the beginning of Tales of Destiny Directors Cut remake for PS2 there is a mountain area you must traverse that is covered in that white stuff(snow).

And I believe from when I played Tales of Eternia on PSP back in the day there was a level where it was constantly snowing. I could be wrong but I seem to remember this being true.

Finally, In Kingdom Hearts II for PS2 when you visit the world of "The land of Dragons" Mulan's world, you have to travel to a campsite on a mountain which has snow all over the ground, and as you travel up the mountain, it is covered with snow. In-fact, you eventually do something which causes a snow avalanche which causes the snow to come flying/crashing down and covering a lot of area.

That is all I can think of/remember regarding snow in games up to this point. I am sure there are more and I wish I could have thought of some OBEY/PC-FX games w/ snow but alas I cant think of any so if there are any the titles are eluding me at this point. Ah well!

[Buy/Sell/Trade / WANTED!!!!! PC-FX console with or without games]

Hey all. Many years ago I used to own a PC-FX console(boxed in perfect shape unit) with a bunch of games for the console(most good a few iffy). I beat 3 of the games I owned and at the time of my sale I was working on number 4 but sadly never got around to it. I fell in LOVE with the system back then and I made a horrible choice to sell it off. I never should have done it...but the fact of the matter is...I did and there is nothing I can do about it now

Now back to business....

I miss owning/having/playing the games for the PC-FX and the system itself very very very badly and I am consolidating my gaming to the point where I only want select games, and I only care to own/play my very favorite top of my wanted list of games/consoles. Basically literally only to me stuff that is must own.

As far as consoles goes...Thats a modded PS2, Japanese PSX(as some JP Playstation games have mod chip detection built into its code so they will not run on a modded console) a GBA SP(mostly only for the Japanese Pocket Momsters games(so far only own Pocket Monsters Aka/Akai or red, but want the others and the GBA remakes as well as some other GBA games) , and finally a PC-FX.

PC-FX is the only gaming console left that I care/want to own and it is VERY VERY VERY highly wanted/sought after and being looked for by me. I want to get one as soon as possible with or without games. I will even trade for games before getting the system if I can but what order I find/get my PC-FX stuff in is meaningless. I just MUST get one again.

As far as the console goes, I just want a working PC-FX console with necessary hookups and 1 controller. I honestly do not care if its boxed or loose, and I dont care if its a bit yellowed or white. It WILL be a gamer console and it will have a great deal of use once it gets to me which is why I don't care much about anything other than functionality. It also does not right now need a FX-BMP memory card though after I get the console I will be keeping my eyes open for one, its not wanted right now.

So, if you have a PC-FX in working order you would consider letting go of, I would trade very well for it. If you will only sell it I will do what it takes/whatever I can to get you the $$ but as I am not working right now and looking for a job, buying would make things harder for me but I want one so badly I would make it happen. I DO NOT use paypal so if some $$(buy outright or cash/trade deal) is reached for one, I want you to know I deal in real cash or at worst a postal money order or money pack.

I will be posting pictures of items I have up for trade towards or for a PC-FX very very soon. As a quick tell before they are posted I will be listing a boxed Japanese Dreamcast with many Japanese Dreamcast Games(including Trigger Heart Excellica LE among many others) that are all complete w/ or w/o spine card and in good-excellent shape i'd say on all games. Between 1-3 capless VMU's will be coming with the bundle as well as a SEGA brand rumble Pack for a controller. I would happily break up the lot but it is only going up to get me a PC-FX. I have other things as well but that is the quick pre listing special info so if you have a PC-FX and would like a great working boxed JP DC Message me and we can get something going asap.

Alright, that pretty much covers it. I want a PC-FX very badly so lets get OSG a FX! Keep an eye out in this post and in Console MarketPlace for my pics and list of stuff I want to be rid of to help me get a PC-FX. I will love whoever helps me get one and I will trade highly for one(I know what they cost/go for in japan and I know about US markup and I will TRADE much much in YOUR FAVOR for one(something to keep in mind  ).

There isn't much here but these JP PS2 games were very high on my want list and the JP PSX game was a surprise(freebie) and what a surprise it was!!! I LOVE IT as i've wanted to play/beat this game for years now and never got a chance due to the outrageous cost of the US version.

Once I beat Valkyrie Profile I will HAVE to get its sequel though I hear its no where near as good as the original. But we will see about that when the time comes!

I am very happy to post these pics as now I have most of the JP only release Tales of games(including one sexy as hell LE Premium box set) as well as both JP only releases of FFX International and FFX-2 International+ Last Mission!!!

The last 2 days have made me one HAPPY gamer!!! What I really find special about FFX International is not only that you can play it completely in english(if you choose) but its got all the extras(dark aeons etc) the US version never got so its literally the only real full COMPLETE release of the game. Took me a LONG time to track that game down especially with the special DVD it has with it, but the wait was worth it for sure!!

Alright, thats all I have to add today. IF/when I get more goodies i'll be happy to post them up on here for everyone to see/admire. Hopefully some people here can understand/appreciate the love and admiration for these games that I have myself .

It has been a very very long time since I had any reason/want to post anything in here, but now that I am back I will be adding more love in here more often...that's for sure!

Lastly, and finally, I would love to hear opinions on all the games I have posted over the past few days as well as updates from the rest of you. What cool stuff that you've wanted have the rest of you gotten lately? LETS SEE IT!!!

Joe- I used to use this site a lot when it had its open chat. Since that was shut down I only lurk here and rarely post anymore. Been a member for a long time though. I am also a member at neo-geo.com, shmups.com, racketboy(recently), atariage(made a new account there but been there for awhile), used to be a longtime member of gametz.com until they banned me permanantly, im a member at assembler, and probably a few other sites I cant remember at this time. Probably why I seem familiar to you .   

I had to go through hell to make the call to get off the shit. I was into stuff hardcore and not light stuff like weed or coke/meth. I had to hit lower than rock bottom and I had to die once, and almost die a few other times as well as be cast out from everyone and become homeless and sicker/go through torture worse than what you'd go through in an Iranian prison. But Thanks for the good words/vibes joe! I really appreciate it. I feel like a new/better person and gaming is much fun for me now as well as learning japanese and enjoying it and playing games I enjoy(japanese RPG's). It is fantastic to be a person again, regaining love/respect, and enjoying things. I cant stress/say that enough.

Anyway, I love the package I got today(pics of my games in the previous page) and I cant wait to add to it again!.

Currently I am searching for a job, but at the same time I am looking hard for the last system I care to own/want. So....

PC-FX WANTED!!!! If anyone has any leads on one(I dont care if its a bit yellowed as long as it works and has necessary cords) I am very interested as I strongly regret selling the one I used to own.

Anyway, I feel like I am starting to ramble so I am going to end it here. Thanks again Joe and believe me, not lots of people get to the point I was at and come back, but you'd be surprised just how many people around you and or that you know who are discrete enough and use/abuse shit in secret so no one is the wiser. heh.

I'll be forever grateful to God for this gift of all things retro and I will love and defend it 'til my dying day.

Well said, and thanks for the good words man. You hit the nail on the head there. I feel great now and I am enjoying myself and gaming sooo much more than I even used to. And learning japanese on top of everything is as I said very slow going but fun and its allowing me to enjoy games I never got much out of trying to play them w/ 0 knowledge at the time.

I am going to keep moving forward and I am going to keep getting more games I want/like as well as playing them.

I have Tales of Destiny 2 JP PS2 on the way(only true sequil to a tales of game which happens to be the best and most deserving one so I cant wait for this), and I have Final Fantasy X International JP PS2 on the way which is very exciting as well. I wont be playing my copy of FFX-2 International+Last Mission until I beat FFX International as it seems only proper...heh.

Hello everyone!!! I am BACK! I know I was lost for a long time and that was my fault entirely. I made some very poor choices and sad to say I got very badly physically/mentally hooked on hardcore drugs and other things. I forgot/lost myself, who I was, and I was a completely different person as well as in utter hell physically/mentally. I lost all care/like for everything that used to make me me, or that I enjoyed. I sold off 95% of my gaming collection and other things(my HDTV and anything of value) for less than 1/10th of what it was worth. I hit below rock bottom.

To make a long story short I have been and still am working hard but I got myself into help I needed and I have worked hard and I have bounced back from basically what few are able to do. I am getting to be my old self again and I am re-gaining my interests/likes/hobby's and such and it feels great! What I am mostly into/working on now(besides myself and staying clean and such) is on my own terms and using my own slow methods I am teaching myself JAPANESE. How to speak/read/interpret it. So...I AM BACK EVERYONE!!!! And I couldn't be happier!!!

Thats the short version. I am not going to keep going on about that as this thread is for other things...so lets get onto it. Now that I am back I am enjoying gaming a great deal. What I am mostly interested in, is Japanese games. So since I got back into gaming I have narrowed my interests down into only my most liked/favorite things and I am only going after what I want and like the most. Which is Japanese PS2/PSX games(mostly RPG's) and PC-FX. Sadly I do not own a PC-FX again yet but it is up there on my wanted/to buy/trade for list. I want one very badly and hope to get one sooner than later.

I look forward to adding pics of more goodies I get in the future. the Tales of Destiny Directors Cut Premium Pack was not easy to find and if you are a Tales of fan the remake of destiny is well worth playing as its very very well done. Great game to remake IMO. Also the premium edition(japan gets the best stuff) the artbook that comes with it is sexy and awesomeness.

Appreciate the welcome back ele! means ALOT! really it does. The only reason I am is because I finally got some doctors the care and that will listen to me and actually do the right thing to help me and work with me. But I wouldn't be anywhere if I hadn't chosen to give up my old life and start recovery. That was the BEST decision I could have and did make.

Anywho...learning japanese is HARD but fun. I got myself many books but one I need still is kanji to english to learn the symbols. I already know the katakana/hiragana symbols and how to use the conjunction or whatever marks to lengthen sounds and such.

Anyway, enough about that...What I REALLY REALLY want is JP PS2 games and some JP PSX Games.

SO if anyone would consider trading....PLEASE come to me and I will trade, and trade well. RPG's are my genra of choice but I will accept other types no problem.

Hey guys!!

Hey all. Been awhile since I've posted here. I made many bad choices in life and did a lot of things I am not proud of inc. selling just about all my gaming iterms for next to nothing to fund my bad choice. Long story short I am back. I am in recovery and I am doing much much better. I am interested in gaming again and other things and feel happy for the first time in over 2 years.  Anyway, now that I have my interests back where they should be (gaming) I am hoping I can make some deals here. I feel terrible for what I sold/gave away and I feel like I betrayed my friends here as well as make some dislike me for some comments I made when I wasn't myself. But I do apologize and hope you all can forgive me and understand that it wasn't me doing that and talking. Now then...

My main interests right now are both teaching myself Japanese(read/understand) and collecting/obtaining JP PS2/PSX games to play. Or the occasional JP Pocket monster title in the GB-GBA area.

I am looking specifically for JP PS2 games. I dont have any specific titles I am after as I want so many different ones. So basically I am hoping to make some trades here in hopes of finding some from you good people. I am mostly interested in RPG(all types), Action/Adventure, Sega Ages 2500, Horror, Quirky(now sure what I mean by that but tokyo bus guide, Densha De Go for example fit into that), and basically any other games that appear fun in any way. Really just interested in anything that isnt a Dating sim.

I am also interested in JP PSX RPG's, Horror, Adventure etc etc anything fun as well. I have a modded PS2 so until I get a JP PSX console the only games I wish to avoid are games that have the mod chip block in them, as well as mahjong, horse racing, dating sim, and other games of that nature.

Nintendo DS:

Nintendo DS lite console with stylus. Model has a red top and black bottom. Works fine and has Charger. Only problem is the person I got it from broke the hinges that holds the top screen propped up, so you need to hold up the top screen yourself...other than that it works and functions great. Even has the GBA cart cover.

Vectrex system with some issues. Powers up and will read carts but there are some white lines on the monitor possibly from a old cap going perhaps, and the outer case has a crack around the cart slot but cart slot reads games ok. N64 consoles only possibly with Power cord. untested and missing expansion and or power packs for front of system.

White Import Japanese PSP original fat model in rough shape but works ok. Missing Battery but has battery cover


US PSX console with hookups and possibly 1 controller. Open button sticks but system works fine otherwise

Atari 7800 system with 2 7800 controllers, Power cord, and cord to connect system to RF unit(not included) or switchbox(not included). system has crack/missing piece of plastic on the right side of the console. Does not affect functionality

1 Game Gear systems in working order. Screens have the common blurryishness or light backlight color and possible sound issues but unsure. Also have Power cord and SEGA brand carry case.

  I have been gone/away from gaming and collecting for a long time now   but I am finally starting to get myself back on track so I am looking to reclaim some of the goodies that I lost from sales and such awhile back. I really miss and regret   getting rid of a lot that I did at the time so now its time to get back into the swinga things and get myself some of the stuff thats gone, and hopefully some new stuff I never got a chance to play yet.  .

This is hard for me as collecting/obtaining these things is what i've done throughout most my life. But it is also something I must do.

I understand that some of my things will only appeal to a certain group of people so if this thread needs to be alive for awhile...thats understandable.

As far as payment goes if we reach a deal, I accept USPS postal money orders/concealed cash only. I do not have any paypal accounts I can use. I am sorry but thats how my situation is and please dont ask me to set one up or if anyone else I know has one...they dont.

I am going to be selling off all my arcade related items in shifts, one at a time. MVS/Death smiles, than later on i'll be selling my naomi stuff, other PCB's, j-gen and my cab. I am in need of quite a bit of cash as i have driven myself into a hole over the years/months that i have to resort to selling off my gaming items. I have had a lot of fun with these games over the years and I hope they end up at homes that will love them as much as I did. Depending on how I am doing after my cab and games are sold, I plan to look at selling a good chunk of my collection of games/consoles I have left.

All of the games or just about all of them are very japanese text heavy and require knowledge of the language to be fully enjoyed.

Hey. I have decided to let go of a small chunk of my gaming collection as I could really use the $$ more than this stuff sitting around, as much as I love it.

Hey.

As my learning of japanese symbols gets better and better, I am finding myself enjoying playing my Wonderswan Color a lot more as of late. Sadly, as I am too poor to afford games currently, I am going to make use of sites like this to aquire some games I am after for both the Wonderswan and PC-FX.

So, if you have a boxed(non Pearl Pink) Wonderswan Color system, Boxed Swancrystal, Wonderswan games(B/W-SwanCrystal releases), a Wormlight, or PC-FX games...please let me know. I am looking to TRADE only as I cant afford to buy anything outright right now.

I do not have any current gen stuff to offer(aside from the wii lan adapter) as I don't play that, but I still have plenty of other things left. Some of the stuff I have for trade includes(but is not limited to):

Dont forget Zeroigar also costs about $250-$300, and that's more than just about every better PCE/PCECD shmup costs

But I will someday pay the price for Zeroigar...just because i'll need it for the PC-FX collection.
