There is a new batch of these being made as we speak. I have a pre-order for one myself.

This is what I use to tap my RGB and it works great!!!

I also have one of these as well I used to use but I had to mod it on order to get audio as it only does video out of the box. The HDMI one was like $80 USD while this one only cost around $35 shipped and it works great. Only reason I went to the HDMI one is my HDTV wouldn't display video using component cables so I had to use my older TV and who wants to pull out a TV just ot game. The HDMI one works flawlessly and supports audio right out of the box. It looks a little better also.

Thanks that is nice to know as I was lost  I take it is because of the region lockout. Now if I get a Japanese model DUO later down the road if I ground that pin would I still need to edit the ROM's or would they work similar to the TG16 with no needed editing?

The Neutopia 2 I sold him for $20 and look at that price

Stupid question but this seems to be how to make US ROM's work on a Japanese console as I am trying to edit some (J) region games for my TG16. Which string do I look for to edit a Japanese game for US use. In particular I am trying to edit Fire Pro Wrestling 3.

Quote from: guest on 12/08/2008, 08:08 PMWith TG-16/PC Engine composite, the picture isn't just blurrier, it's washed out. If you like the way that blurriness blends pixels together, you can have the best of both by outputing an RGB mod through composite
So once you do a RGB mod the composite video will get better or are you saying going from say a scart 2 composite adapter.

Once you change the region from US to Japan it locks up. And all the ROM images I have are exactly the same CRC's. Doesn't matter if it is GoodPCE or No-intro I get the same error from my DUO and Super Grafx.

Quote from: ooPo on 11/17/2008, 09:36 AMHere's a fun thought.

It is LOT cheaper to buy a flash cart, put the Magical Chase rom onto it, saw off the gba-style connector on the end and paint it to look like the original hucard.
To bad the US Magical Chase ROM doesn't work on a flash cart as it suffers from byte swapping :( The same can be said for Cadash, Blazing Lazers, Military Madness and a few more. They simply do not work on actual hardware due to bad dumps.

DUO-RX from PCEngineSales on Ebay and also a member here
Region-modded with switch under where the CD sits so it is out of site
RGB modded but use a RGB>component converter
Blue LED

Looks totally stock other than the LED just the way I like them.

I have a modder who did my component video and region mod who can help you all out. I think it was 45 for component (me providing the jrok) and 35 for the region mod install's. $30 for RGB and $35 for S-video. PM me for details once you get your stuff. That way I can get you all proper references.

This is an awesome seller and very understanding. I bought a DUO from them and it didn't play CD based games. I offered to return it for a new console and was told to keep it and I paid a slight difference to get a DUO-RX. If I had known then it was a simple repair (that was before I found the Turbo DUO repair as I have no idea at the time the Turbo DUO and PCE DUO were the same) I would have simply replaced it but they were more than happy to fix any problem. This is truly one of the most honest sellers and down to earth prices you will find anywhere. I would suggest them to anyone looking to get into the PCE market.

Yea it is just nice to have all options open as same PAL games didn't see it statewide like Deep Fear and that rocks!!
