Crawlin out of the woodwork for this one.

Sign me up please! I've been dying to play this one since I got my Cdrom-2 Drive fixed up.
#2
Put me down please, I've drooled over sapphire for awhile and I'd love to play it on my ifu30!!
#3
Sign me up, I'm more of a lurker then a poster here on the forums, nice to see an open raffel on some TG swag!
#4
I think there were only 3 games or something like that that didn't work on the generation nex.

Unfortunately castlevania 3 was one of them.

But just look at all the space your saving! haha it's pretty measly in size.
#5
The Generation nex always seemed cool, if not a little expensive to me. But I'm pretty sure Messiah Entertainment is now out of business so the only way to get one is second hand. The controllers looked interesting too.

I did actually manage to find that site on my own ( I kinda forgot that I posted this here, and kinda just remembered it today haha) but alas, someone has already snatched up whatever was left before payday could roll around...  :x

Hey guys, I bought a IFU/briefcase unit off of ebay, and if I'm correct it didn't come with a power adaptor. I guess i figured I could find one that would work, and never did, plus my CDrom2 had a busted gear. I got my CDrom2 fixed, and was excited to play it today after just getting it back in the mail, but I didn't realize I didn't have a power adapter.

I've seen that you can purchase one at radioshack that will work so if someone could point me in the right direction there, that'd be cool. OR if anyone can tell me an alternative console that the PSU will work on a IFU, that'd be great too.

But if not, sell me one, so I can play my cdrom2!!!!

Hm I went low on the prices I know, But thats the bare minimum he would make, not saying he couldn't make more.

Quote from: guest on 04/03/2010, 11:13 PMya you have some great games there and some toughies to find... in this case you might be best splitting it up to get the rare games to the people who need them at a fair price and then the duo combined with some of the more common games as a bundle. Might end up getting more out of selling it this way as well.

there are a couple games there i would likey if you do decide to break!!
My thoughts exactly and entirely, Sell the rarer games, maybe keep a few to throw in the duo package. You'll make more money piecing out what people want in terms of games only, then whatever doesn't sell, throw that in with the duo. If you part this out you can probably make (This is a rough guesstamate) somewhere around 400-500$? The duo is worth around 200 in itself if it's CIB. But you'd probably make 300-400$ If you sell it all at once, maybe even less.

Ok dudes, I finally found some good deals (of course, thats why they don't work) on the briefcase unit, and CD rom drive I wanted! I got the interface unit with a white PC engine, the PCE works fine, however the interface unit doesn't even power on!!! I never tested it untill today when I got my CDROM2, which was a hassle in itself to get. Well I get it and thats when I found out the interface unit didn't even work. I figured I could test out the CDROM2 without the interface unit, by popping in a cd. I got ABSOLUTELY nothing. Then I opened it up and poked at the Spindle, then I got the Humming sound of the motor running. Still no disk spinning, lukemorse1's video lead me to look at the middle gear, which looked PERFECT, and was intact, however under closer inspection there was a tooth missing. I tried to slide it off, and with almost no pressure at all the gear split in half.

So, now like everyone else, I need to know if there is a fix for this dreaded problem!?!?!?
#12
That'd be me! I had to scoop up a supergrafx for that. I also snagged sparky's loosey goosy DaiMakaimura INSTANTLY. I know a deal when I see one.
#13
Got my supergrafx today, works great, good price! Thanks alot man, super fast shipping too!
#14
I might be able to snag a deal on a regular CD rom unit. I'll let you guys know how it pans out.

Buy/Sell/Trade / Need a CD unit, 1 or 2
02/20/2010, 03:47 PM
Ok guys, heres the quick lowdown, I'm gonna be snagging a supergrafx from nemo, and I realized I STILL don't have a CD unit, I've been wanting to pickup Chou Aniki but My US turbo duo needs Caps replaced (the sound is getting farty) and that can hold off if I can just snag a CD unit. I'd prefer the original setup for my coregrafx..But since I'm getting a supergrafx, the CD rom 2 is A-OK as well.
#16
Sent you a PM about that supergrafx, It'd be pretty interesting to own one of them.
#17
Haha, yeah the shuttle/shuttle controllers would be neat, but yeah I know Ninja Ryukenden can get sorta on the expensive side, but eh, I figure it'd be worth it.
#18
Hey guys, I'm looking to pick up some more NEC merch, and this is the place to do it. I have a coregrafx 1, so count that out. But I'm looking for other stuffsss.

Original white PC engine- cheapish if you got one to sell me
Shuttle Unit-just for the fun of it.
Briefcase unit/Cd rom drive- Been searchin for one of these!

also, games Games GAMES! Anything that's fun, quirky, and doesn't need much/any japanese knowledge. Only game I specifically want in the Ninja Gaiden remake!

Anything else cool and related (Those weirdo controllers for example) will be considered. Thanks!!!

Buy/Sell/Trade / WTB Sega CDX
08/31/2009, 01:44 PM
Short and sweet.

I want a CDX for a reasonable price. All I need is the system, and wires. Maybe one of the cool big 6 buttons it came with. But thats all

Thanks.
#20
I know I'm not going to be able to afford it, but HOW MUCH FOR SHINING FORCE 3!?!?!?!?

PC engine=win, so welcome aboard.

Edit: my friend just told me "HOW MUCH FOR THE MINI SNES!!!!1111"
#21
Nohooooo, I really want the CD unit + briefcase  [-o<
#22
Yea it was definitly worth it, on the evilbay a us turbo duo sells for like 300+ Dollars from what I've seen. Whats even better is the offer came to me, I posted a WTB thread over on neo-geo.com and some guy told me he had the duo for sale.
#23
hehe I got a copy with my US turbo duo for FREE! Plus my turbo duo was only 150$ Talk about a steal.
#24
Oh man, thanks soooo much D-Lite, Who woulda thought changing something as simple as ONE cap,  could go from no sound, TO LOUD SOUND! Thanks so much, you saved me a buncha money (and not on my car insurance!!)
#25
Hmm I could use a ram cart for my saturn, but lemme toss you a few questions. is the ST key you have RAM + an Import adapter? Also just out of curiosity, does the RAM allow you to save sorta like a memory card? I thought I read that somewhere but I'm not sure.
#26
If the sound starts to act up at all again, I'll get right on replacing those caps, but since it was such an isolated incident i'll wait a bit, and see if anything else happens.
#27
Hmm... I have a quick question, is it possible for a Hucard to be messed up? I havn't really noticed any fuzzy sound on any game other then bravo man that ONE time. I got bonks adventure today, played through the whole game, and since it was my first runthrough it took a while...so. My question is it possible for a HuCard to messed up?
#28
Welll, me and hoobs88 struck out a deal, so were making a trade. which is awesome. So I'm glad someone wanted to make the trade.
#29
Hmm I was going more for a quick fix... I mean It wouldnt hurt to redo all of em, but I figured i'd just replace as the problems go, "If it aint broke dont fix it?"
#30
Hmm I guess im just after games/ a cd system now so I'll amend my original post.
#31
I might have to resort to that... but first! Does anyone want to trade a PC engine tap or a REAL duo tap? Cmon you know it would be nice to use pc engine controllers on your Turbografx!!!
#32
Oh man, I'm so happy this is such an easy fix, just replace 2 caps. I just got a US duo, and I thought I noticed some scratchy, not too loud sound. I went to play some bravoman today (BRAVO!) and it was REAL bad, so me and my dad will (CAREFULLY!) pop open my Duo, and give her a fix. Thanks so much D-Lite
#33
wow, thats a pretty good deal... but could you do 60 shipped? I'd be sold  :D :D :D
#34
Hmm i dunno, thats a tad steep considering i'm US .. But you said you might be having a clearout of other PC engine stuff?? Or just listing what you offered me...?
#35
hahaha yes it was that exact one....I figured those adapters werent too common, but I thought DIN connections were kinda standard (In some computer stuffs anyway) Its not easy to find a DIN to MINI DIN connector for computers that would work? Thats kinda what I was hoping for.
#36
Hmm, if it's an american release I'll usually look up a teeny bit of info.. and as long is its not a sports game I'll usually give it a whirl. Most games are pretty cheap anymore so its not like a huge loss. Now the famicom on the other hand...hahaha I can do nothing but blind buy, I got like 8 games, some good, some bad, some I can't really play...Most...really weird. I got Peach Boy legends expecting it to be a platformer, and was disappointed when it was an RPG and when super peach boy was a board game. However I was pretty please with...well i don't know the names but they kinda remind me of kung fu, and I was pleased with Magical taru-ruto kun in fantastic worlds. I love me classic platformers, but anyway If the game sucks? Eh I kinda just throw it at something hopeing it will break hahaha.

So YES I blind buy, just not so much for US consoles, I have a pretty good knowledge of 90% of most games I'll run across.
#37
Ok guys, I bought a DUO tap off ebay figuring it says duo tap...must be for the turbo duo right? WRONG, It's for using duo controllers on a TG16...So basically I was wondering if anyone knows where I could find the appropriate cables to convert the Big TG16 plug (DIN) to the smaller pc engine/duo plug (MINI DIN) a DIN to mini DIN adapter.
#38
Well I came over here from Neo-geo where people ALWAYS have stuff for sale..I mean I didn't really waltz in here expecting everything I want to drop in front of me for amazing prices. I just figured this would be a good place to start, uhh haha I guess I didn't really think that 90% of the people here were collectors and not really intent on selling anything. but that does infact make sense.
#39
wow no one other then blackandblue has any pc engine stuff to sell?

Cmon guys!!
#40
Yeah, I read that a few times, so now all I need is a console... I found a sight that has a pc engine and a cd rom drive for 90$ but I doubt they have it in stock and they take forever. So thats why I came here, I still might be interested in yours blackandblue, but I'd have to see what other offers I get.
#41
well I've read many times that the TG-16 has the regular DIN connectors, where a PC engine and the turbo duo use a mini-DIN. Both are relatively common connection types, I don't really think they would bother changing the pinouts on a common connection type. So I'm still hopeful. Anyway black and blue, I was afraid of that (that I wouldnt be able to get a pc engine + cd unit for 100$) I found a online store that MIGHT have one in stock, but I'm waiting for them to get back to me. So if they do not, or shipping is insane, then I might buy yours. As long as your not trying to get a crazy amount for it... I always thought pc engine's were only worth about 50-70$...don't really know where I got that notion.
