I'm surprised how much Bunny Must Die has already spiked in price.  Makes me wonder if Umihara Kawase will wind up the same way.

I had the Sharp Twin for a while but got me two Monitors; they take Composite, S-Video, and RGB.  Score.  Built in speaker too and also a pass through.
That tiny JVC TV is adorable.  What's the model of it, and what kind of connections does it take?

Totoro is going to be shown in theaters this weekend, take your kiddos!

Wow, crazy deal on your side for sure.  Is that a US 3.0 System Card in the lot as well?

You are doing the lords work majors

I will give you a pass since you have a NepNep avatar, solid stuff though.  Just have like 0 monies at the moment.

Yeah, this question is a no-win. But I would say go with the Model 1 if you can get a working unit easily enough.

As others have said Model 1 can break down easily enough but is repairable, the CDX is a pain in the butt to fix unless you are am electronics magician like thesteve or something.

If you want a third option you could get a JVC X'EYE or a LaserActive.  The x'eye is pretty reliable in my experience, and the LA is a tank as long as you have the PAC recapped right away.

But the best bang for the buck in terms of a daily use machine is the Model 2 CD, that's what I keep around for normal playing though I may retire it soon since I mainly just use the LA for PCE and Sega stuff at this point.  I really only keep the other unit around for 32X support (until I finish the custom patch cable for the LA).

I have had issues with those ferrite blocks too Keith, I normally wind up either removing them totally after fixing a unit (I never noticed a difference) or super gluing the block to the shielding and threading the cable through there.

Aria is cute but a bit too much style over substance I feel.

Region mod that bad boy, best route with least chance for hiccups.

What a world we live in.

I really only trust Samsung SSDs, they have had amazing track records and usage stats.
#14
The later DVDs had insane prices actually, it was pretty crazy.
#15
Here's hoping you can get the whole thing mirrored!

Quote from: SignOfZeta on 08/20/2018, 07:53 PMI thought I heard somewhere that they were responsible for %35 of the release schedule after that last wave. I just hope they don't screw up and go out of business like so many others. At least not before they release everything ever.
Lol, and admirable goal.  If they could license and release all of Lum as a box set I'd be ecstatic.

Highlights for me are Kimagure Orange Road and Giant Robo BD.

All announcements can be found on their twitter: https://twitter.com/discotekmedia
They are really doing a good job satisfying the older anime watcher.

Muv-LuvTrilogy.webp

The Muv-Luv Trilogy Collector's Box - PS Vita Kickstarter Edition has finally arrived!
Almost 3 years after I made the initial pledge I'm happy to see this finally get delivered on my front door. The package contained a lot of stuff, here's a quick rundown though:

1) The physical PS Vita games for Muv-Luv (includes Muv-Luv Unlimited on the cartridge as well) & Muv-Luv Alternative

2) The Collector's Edition Box; within which there is a Muv-Luv game creator signature(!) on Limited Edition Sticker, Kickstarter Edition Physical Artbook, and Physical OST CDs

3) Max Factory Figma SP-037 Kagami Sumika Action Figure (also Kickstarter Exclusive)

There are also a number of digital rewards that I got along the way, but they don't really show up that well in a picture :p

Click the main picture if you want to see the rest of the photos I took.

Quote from: Gypsy on 07/31/2018, 06:09 PMVintage Stock is doing their B1G1 coupon so I picked up a Criterion DVD and a random two pack BD. Only $8 so not too bad...

So yeah for anyone with those in their area, definitely worth dropping by with the coupon.

I went by today and did okay. May swing by tomorrow as well before the coupon expires.

Also looks like he is playing Night Trap on Sega CD.
Ground Zero Texas.
And on a Model 1 Sega CD too!  Robin Williams was an early adopter apparently.

Will counter with this one:
I love Laura Shigihara's lyrics and vocals in this song.  It's so emotionally vibrant.

Quote from: Emerald Rocker on 06/16/2018, 02:11 AMThanks to Nightwolve for reaching out to me.  I had actually noticed the expiration a few days ago.  Unfortunately, since I was just a site-pimper and not a contributor, there isn't anything that I can add to this topic.

That aside, seeing as I've already logged in, I think I'll start posting around here again.  :)
If you've got a contact for runinraider (wasn't he the hoster?) and he has access to the files or something I'd be happy to rehost, I loved the reviews on there.

Quote from: SuperDeadite on 06/02/2018, 09:27 PMIf it came modded from Japan the supplied cable is probably Japanese RGB21.  Same connector as a Euro SCART but wired completely differently.  You shouldn't have much trouble finding a JP21->Euro Scart adapter on ebay and the like.
Yeah, I'm guessing this is exactly the case as well since RGB21 and Euro Scart have the exact same line for red but most everything else is changed up.  You can find online or build an adapter if you want.

Man, I remember looking at the shield on the Super CD ROMROM, what a pain in the butt.
#32
Nice Soul Star is a goodie, that's one of the few I'm missing for the Mega-CD too!
#33
Man, that assembly line makes me appreciate even more what you were doing.

I'm glad they are doing a bit of QA on them at the end but still, that video has some interesting comments going on.

Yeah, prescription narcotics are insane when you think about how addictive they are.

I was reading something recently where they talked about how in the 70-80s many narcotics had side effects that were so bad that it made it easier to get off them, nowadays there are almost no side effects which makes getting off them even harder.
#37
Yeah it's weird, normally I don't have issues and even this seems like it's only intermittent.  I only notice slowdowns occasionally.
#38
Are you going to make more eventually? I think they are great amps and used them in my laseractive.
#39
Bump, does anyone have advice here?
My PC has been acting really slow recently and I wonder if it's a virus or botnet or what.

Glossy Duo lives again!

This kind of stuff is dumb, I can't stand it because you're actually losing content.

Same thing with Sega and the Ferrari rights with like Outrun 2006.

This is the Japanese limited edition release and it comes with PSP Game, Box, Character Pouch, Drama CD, Flier

Very fun game, a lot like Ys in my opinion.   I played through the translated version and am almost done.

Yep.  Swapping my boxed Multimega for a game gear, losing my copy of Avengeing Spirit for gameboy (fml) and lending a friend all my nes games.

Luckily, none of that cost me much, but holy shit is it sad.
Oh my gosh would I regret that one..

Yeah, you can deduct stuff you donate, but not things you buy from an a nonprofit.  They are providing goods in exchange for money, just like everything else you buy.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone was trying to do that though.

Quote from: fernan1234 on 04/26/2018, 07:56 PMThanks again Necromancer! I saw your scans today, they are nice and clean. This is how you share the wealth, folks!

We really should try to upload as many manuals as possible in a repository to make preservation easier. Is there a way to add manual scans to the pcfx world section of the website?
Esteban has hosted a lot of scans on his site: https://www.tg-16.com/

There are also some scans on the site of Nulltard he who must not be named...
