Quote from: NightWolve on 01/07/2019, 02:34 AMHmmmm, so Flare is a Senran Kagura guy, huh ??  :-k :-k

Somethin' about those guys...make me nervous, I dunno... They're not so "marvelous" if you will...
Not really.  I like rhythm games, but only on the easier level difficulties.  This one is a bit more challenging with two lines running right-to-left.  No time to slack off and look at the fan service.  Game is tame from what little I have played it so far.  My go-to game right now is Thumper on the Switch.  I love the aesthetics of it.  Totally forgot to include my switch games in the picture above.

Vegas Party was a huge letdown.  I usually enjoy casino games, but this one is a stinker.  I may dump it on ebay one of these days.

I think the physical releases for the Vita will dry up by April.  Personally, when I think of buying a physical release of a Vita game, I'm asking my self "Is this coming out  on Switch"?  Some of the past physical releases for the Vita have been released or will be released physically on the Switch (i.e. Salt and Sanctuary and Windjammers).  If a game is coming out for both systems, I'd rather have it on Switch at this point.  With all the indie titles being released for it, the Switch is the next generation Vita in my opinion.

At that price its not even worth the trouble to list it on ebay or craigslist.

I just dont have time to play all these games.

Back on subject......I've decided to sell this Xbox 360.  Anyone looking to buy one?  PM me.

Speaking of GameStop, it's been in the news lately due to an Angry Grrrrr GamerThug about to pull a can of whip ass out for being called "sir..."
"Marthafocker, take it outside and I WILL GIVE YOU A SIR!!!! SAY SIR ONE MORE TIME!!! SAY SIR ONE MORE TIME!!!!!!"
It wasn't acting very lady like.  Lol..  Looked like some middle aged guy in drag.

Quote from: jperryss on 12/02/2018, 02:50 PMThe original 360 doesn't have built-in wifi. The slim 2nd generation does. Here's a pic with the original on the left (it also came in black) and a slim in the middle. On the right is apparently a later model that I didn't know existed, I assume it has wifi also.
The one he gave me must be the original one as the menu settings don't have any options for wifi connections.

My  brother- in-Law gave me his xbox 360.  He isn't much of a gamer and gave me a stack of worthless sports titles along with it.  In the stack was Red Dead Redemption and Bioshock.

I really don't know much about the system I have never had an xbox console before.  The system does work and I played Bio shock for a bit.  I don't think he used it in over four or five years.  I have a couple of questions for any owners of this system.

How important is an internet connection and microsoft account for this system?  I have no interest in any multiplayer games (I assume the multiplayer community is dead since there is the xbox One now).  Does this thing have wireless internet or is it Cat5 cable connection only?  Being a Microsoft product, I assume a lot of games need patches.

Any must have games?  Not looking to spend a lot of money on expensive chase rare titles but quality games that I can pick up on the cheap.  Platformers and shooters are my go-to games.

Was that when Electronics Boutique was in one of the pods in Yorktown?
Yeah, lower level between  the escalators.

Kinda shitty that you can buy it for the consoles, but the backers have to sit and wait.
I got my code sometime last week and already beat it

I'll have to reach out to them.  I still have not received my code yet.

I have the same one.  I'd love a cover for it and possible something to make the reset button easier to use.

Saw the movie Upgrade in the theater over the weekend.  Probably best movie I have seen this year.  Lots of violence, action, plot and plenty of plot twist.  Ending was a shocker as well.  I highly recommend it.

I like it.  Someone put a lot of love into it.

Got both of these from the Konami booth at the CES show in Chicago back in the mid 90's.  CES is long gone and now it's what we all know as the E3 show.

Give it time.

The next LRG release for Vita this Friday looks like another shovel ware port.  Skipping that one as well.

I decided to skip these.  My gut tells me that I won't have any trouble finding them on ebay or a gaming convention down the line if I decide to change my mind.  These are definitely not triple A+ rated games  Ebay is chock full of past LRG releases at or near the prices they were originally sold for.

Quote from: gheebee on 04/25/2018, 11:46 AMPre-ordered Mercenary Kings and Flinthook for Switch from them the other day. Really wish I had known about that now sold out Thimbleweed Park pre-order when it was live though!
I'm on the fence with these two.  They look like fun games, but they also look like something I can get for $4.99 on Steam.  Dunno if they are worth 30 each plush shipping.
#23
I'm curious.  I never had an Neo Geo as the prices were astronomical back then for the console and games, nowadays the prices on this stuff is insane.

Yeah, the hacks and home brew scene is getting out of hand.  I saw that game play and it was utter trash.  Like shovelware Atari 2600 crap.  That was one of the weirdest home brews that I've seen so I took a photo of it.

Lot more open space.  I like it much better than the old location.  More space, not as congested.  Hope they keep it here.  Downside is you gotta pay to park now.  That can range from 10-20$ depending upon how far you want to walk.

I need to give Xeno Chromicals 2 another go.  I didn't get too deep into it, just a little beyond where you get Pyra.  I remember the combat system was a bit confusing.

The trouble that I have with this game and Breath of the Wild is that I'll get 4-5 hours into it, then work and family stuff picks up and I can't get back to it for 3-4 weeks before I can pick it up again.  At that point I've either forgotten where I am at or special attack moves that are essensial to progressing.

I'm stuck in the same boat with Y's 8 on the vita...

Renny Blaster

Steam Hearts

Dragon Knight & Graffitti

Ninja Gaiden complete in case with instructions might be up there on price as well.

Not sure what the two Macross games go for these days...

Yeah that bothers me too.  Some physical games are broken and crash without a day one patch.  ::cough::  MechoTails on Vita ::cough:: ::cough::

Got it digitally, but this is getting to be a trend now.  Release it digitally first, add some dlc shit and then put it out physically.  Tired of this crap.

I'll get it physically, but not right away.  I see myself buying a used switch copy five or six years from now when its super cheap.

I think I'm done buying digitally only for some time.  I just had a 64g memory card on my Vita die on me and re downloading everything is a pain.  Some day the servers will be shut down and I won't be able to re-download everything again.

Got my Skullgirls on Vita as well.  Not sure the vita is the best way to enjoy this game.  I may be getting old, but the text on some of the menus is a bit hard to read with my bad eyesight.  I think the game would feel better on the PS4 or Steam.

The problem I have with LRG is that I'll be there the moment the game goes live, add it to my cart, and then the game is listed as sold out during the checkout process.  Wash-rinse-repeat until the game is no longer available to add to the cart.

Happened on both the Am and PM sales.

I filed out the waiting list form to see if any copies come available, this opens a ticket on their end.  Yesterday I got an email stating that the ticket was closed with no explanation as to why.

If it wasn't for the East Asia Soft release of Soldner X2, I wouldn't have been able to get a copy of that one.

Not sure exactly how you go about it but contacting their CS through their site or on twitter is probably the first step.
I signed up for this on a whim.  I have very little faith that I'll actually get a copy.

Tried to buy Munch twice today.  Both the morning release and the afternoon release.  I could add it to my cart, but it says sold out when I tried to check out.  All I wanted was one copy...not two.

Guess I'm going to do without.

Let me add this up...

$200 for the console
$30 shipping (from what I was told)
$30 for a blutooth controller
$200 for a SD2SNES cart.  (Still need to find a rom set)

Am I missing anything else?  This is just getting a bit to pricey for my taste.

I have a Retron 5 and the Snes game that play in it have lag.

I'd be up for buying one of these systems and a flash/everdrive cart to go with it, but I'm concerned that if I dropped all that money, would I get the same lag experience as the Retron5?

Has anyone noticed any lag just using the flash/everdrive cart on the original hardware?

I have it on Vita.  I'll probably pick it up on Switch so I can play through it again on on a normal sized TV, but with all the other games in my backlog, I'll be buying this one used in about a year or two...  No rush on my end.
