RIP to BT Garner of MindRec.com... BT passed away early 2023 from health problems. He was one of the top PCE homebrew developers and founder of the OG Turbo List, then PCECP.com. Condolences to family and friends.

Recently got Boundary Gate and lovin the pseudo 3D scaling thru battlefields and villages vaguely reminiscent to my Wolfenstein 3D computer days.

Also if I want a quick game session, I'll turn on the mini Hunex Fighter 98 in First Kiss Story...or the shooter mini game in Yuna FX! Good stuff!

Sorry for the long, delayed reply - I've been traveling a bit but back in BK now. I live in Bushwick, right off the Central ave M. Do you own a PCFX? What NEC consoles do you have?
Best,
Jason

Ah "original Zeroigar CD"! Now these "patches" and .iso files make all the sense in the world. I was like "where is the original game???" - feel so dumb. I need to get an original Zeroigar CD first - I totally understand how all this works now. So sorry and thanks for explaining it to me

1. I just finished uninstalling all the weird stuff that I blindly installed and fixed that issue.

2. Now I will get a copy of an original Zeroigar CD first before I attempt to burn the translated ISO again, properly.

3. Please disregard my noob posts on this thread. I will now go watch the GameSack PCFX episode, laugh alone in the corner and play more Team Innocent until I figure out this Zeroigar thing  ](*,)

Thanks guys!

Well, I downloaded the Zeroigar .zip to my Mac to burn, realized this Imgburn that everyone is talking about only supports PCs, so I moved the .zip to a PC, downloaded Imgburn and now my browser is hijacked with some Cassiopesa search malware (instead of Google or other search engines)...

I have no idea what this is as I'm a Mac guy, nor what to do -but it's just unfortunate that this is what happens when I try to download something from an unknown source/link that seems safe, to a PC. And since ImgBurn won't open, I have no chance of creating an ISO from the Zip and creating a CD with Zeroigar. Poor.

If anyone knows anything about what I'm talking about, either I can start a new post or please email me at jszkutek@gmail.com.

So sad.

At this particular moment I don't have the funds to buy the expensive ones on ebay and have other expenses I gotta deal with...Just weighing the options of getting Zeroigar really before getting one.

Yeh that's why I'm on the fence still...I don't own any repros as of yet. We shall see...

However, similar to my music collection, I have many of the same albums released on different labels, re-released, remastered, etc. Ideally I'd love to land an original w/obi spine Zeroigar, play it a bunch and THEN figure out how to get the translated version. So I can experience it the original way it was released and then actually figure out what is going on...similar to all the Star Wars movies hehe. Viewed the original three first, then the new ones as they came out but then watched them in their supposed "chronological" order (not the same order they're released)...I'm way off topic now. Sorry   [-(

p.s. unrelated, I JUST bought Dokyusei 2 for 8 bucks - hope it's not too bad  :-k

Wow super excited! How do we obtain copies of these Zeroigar test pressings? Are they downloadable or on CD-R? How much will they be when the finals are made? As I've only owned my PC-FX for almost a month, still getting used to the technical side of it...and barely understand the Japanese in the three games I own.

Stoked! Thanks!

Hello PC-FX Gamers out there!

I'm curious about finding out more on the unreleased treasures that were demoed prior to the PC-FX launch. We know that there was no such Lords of Thunder FX game as the images were pulled stills from the LoT commercial. However, the other games that Aaron highlights in the section below doesn't mention where these demo discs currently live (if they do), or if there is a leak of the footage or "game" software anywhere...I realize they are extremely rare and probably only a couple developers who worked on the PC-FX back then have access to it on some lost hard drive; just would be fascinating to see/play on an actual PC-FX. Thought I'd ask the forums...

Here is the only known video footage I could find (Maybe I should contact the users who uploaded) :-k

Cyber Fighter:
and finally...the most unique, Hi-Ten Bomberman (unknown if on a PC-FX but I can dream)
Maybe I should just buy Sapphire, Dracula X, and Zeroigar instead

Sorry for the long-winded post!
Thanks

Ah awesome another New Yorker  Do you know of any other physical stores in our area that have old video games and consoles other than Video Games New York (Bowery/West 6th) and J+L Game in Midtown? I live in Bushwick and there's a small store called Madrid Video out there that has some Genesis, SNES, NES, N64 and of course all the latest but I'm looking for less typical type - more enthusiast retro game type. Where do you get most of your games from? Hit-Japan, Jump-To-Japan and 16bit are my main ebayers but other than that, hard to find  :-k

Thanks!

Thanks man! I try to capture the elegance, in my opinion, of the design quality not only of the consoles but of the gaming visuals. I'd have to say that King Drool, Aaron Nanto's movies and pics are partly where I draw inspiration from as they're in a class of their own :)

What's this 'Jerry Jelly', 'Punchy Pedro', etc stuff...and the Bonk smileys under everyone's user name on the left? Seniority type thing? Will I acquire as I post more and stay active longer?

Whoa - just spent the last few hours looking at all the DoxPhile magazine scans. So many memories from my childhood! Great site!

Also tg-16.com: known that site for years and stoked to be chatting with you gamers. Much respect for creating such killer resources. If I had the time and skill, I'd do the same.

Kudos.  [-o<

...ok now heading home to play more Battle Heat... (that should be my signature ha)

Greetings pcengine-fx.com forum family!

I'm brand new to these forums and would like to introduce myself. While I've been a Turbografx owner since 1992 and a casual PCE Duo collector since 2002, and very familiar with pcengine-fx.com, I didn't feel worthy of joining until I purchased a PC-FX...which just happened a couple weeks back! It has kinda spawned a new, hard-core obsession with all my "old school" games, and even started posting my own game-themed pics on Instagram. More of a gamer now at 30 then I was at 10 haha...Basically, the bug has bit me :)

So with that said, I look forward to speaking with everyone and hearing what all of you have to say – and a special thanks to PunkCryborg who nudged me to join (pointing out that Zeroigar will likely have an English translation soon!)

All of you rule! It's so refreshing to see so much new life breathed into the ol' NEC console family!

 =D>

Many humble thanks and see you out there,
Jason
