From memory, I was first exposed to arcades whilst on holiday staying in caravan parks and going to seaside arcades from about 6 years old. From then on whenever I went away on holiday in the summer holidays the first thing I'd do was to find the local arcades. I later found out when I was about 9 years old that there were local Taxi ranks/kebab shops/chip shops/video shops/pool halls only 15min from my house that had LOADS of arcade cabs. So after School I'd get my roller skates/BMX and travel a mile into the city centre to play Pacland, Shinobi, R-Type.. My Mother would've gone nuts if she found out! In between playing my ZXSpectrum 48k+ arcade conversions at home I would be spending my paper round money in the arcades. Yeah, gamewise I am stuck in the past, but I enjoy it
