This could have gone on forever -- so I decided to stop at 36.  Sorry if your favorites aren't included.  Happy Bird Day.

I voted Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, and stuffing. No thanksgiving sides are complete without those as far as I am concerned.

you eat some weird shit for Thanksgiving, sini. I mean, I like butternut squash, but that's not a typical thanksgiving thing. and what the hell is broccoli rabe?

Also, there are about a billion types of casserole, you can't just have "casserole" as an option! that's like having "pie" as an option!

my actual 3 favorite sides are "green salad" (contains no lettuce, I'll explain if anyone cares), green bean casserole, and broccoli cheese casserole.

(edited for oops)

Sinistron

broccoli rabe's an Italian thing- and it's nothing like regular broccoli.  Not easy to make- muss it up and you're left with something incredibly bitter.

nectarsis

Garlic smashed potatoes (a bit lumpy), Candied Yams, Breaded string beans (green bean bake).

Honorable mentions to butternut squash, cornbread, gravy.

Since when isn't squash "not typical"?

My faves are cornbread, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. I'm f***ing stuffed too! lol. Happy Turkey Day dudes. :)

Agreed. Sautee'd with olive oil and garlic broccoli rabe is delectable. Cook it for 3 seconds too long and it's bitter as quinine.

I voted Stuffing (marble rye/wheat & spinach preferably - it sounds wierd, but its GREAT), Fried Okra, and Cornbread.

Happy Bird Day!

Arkhan Asylum

My favorite non listed sides are rutabaga and green bean casserole

not that it matters as i usually cover the plate in mashed potatoes, throw everything on top that and cover in gravy. lol

Stuffing, cranberry sauce and cornbread.  Pretty basic, but good stuff.

Yeah, I just got back from a vaca to Italy and didn't realize that if you order something with broccoli, you get rabe.  I wasn't a fan and it was very salty.
Another douche trying to obtain a full Turbo collection.  119/146 so far.  Got a long way to go. Half way there. Hit the 100 mark. ich bein ein obeyer

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all.  Please pass the mashed taters, stuffing, and candied yams.... nom, nom, nom, nom.

Wow- cranberry compote has two votes.  It's perhaps the only thing I never find room on my plate for.  It's there every Thanksgiving- and I can't remember ever trying it- or wanting to.

It's not my favorite, but me likey the cranberry compost (typo? maybe, maybe not); even better is the unnatural jellied cranberry sauce, which is best served whole to show off its fancy can shaped dents.  =P~

You like Cranberries* and Peeps... I think the people can decide for themselves who has no taste.

*The Cranberries, on the other hand, are an awesome band.

I have already run out of most leftovers I took from the TWO Thanksgiving Dinners I attended.

As a result, this topic makes me sad :(.

I am considering stopping by my parents/in-laws just to grab some more stuff.

Some items I love that (understandably) were not listed:
1. Roasted whole garlic
2. Candied Sweet potatoes (with crushed peanuts for texture, topped with jalapeƱos to contrast the sugar) -- (my own Thanksgiving creation, it RULES. I should write a goddamn cookbook)
3. Tofu sauteed in garlic/olive oil + dollop of cranberry sauce (my own)
4. Baby onions in weird, creamy sauce
5. Baked mashed potatoes + sesame seed oil and curry (my own creation, again)

Arkhan Asylum

Ive been known to buy that cranberry stuff in the can on non-thanksgiving times and hack a few discs of it off and put it on sandwiches

shits off the hook

and yeah esteban, I ran out of my THREE Thanksgiving dinner left overs too, its a sad happening.   Lol.   I ate soooo much food, and then i got home and ate more -_-

its convenient that all my family lives so close .  Theres food all over

I don't know what half of the stuff on this list is.   Fancy schmancy Thanksgiving celebrations everywhere else I see...

The way my gf cooks, I'm better off with a Banquet microwave meal...  don't tell her that though!

Figures that I'm the only sucker who voted for steamed mixed vegetables. I've never had steamed mixed vegetables by themselves on thanksgiving, but last year I made some nice garlic mashed potatoes with steamed and chopped mixed vegetables mixed in.

Stuffing is the best though.

One and twenty pigeons baked into a pie?! I never heard of pigeon pie. Pigeon pot pie?

We were planning on making bean pies, and we got pretty far along on thanksgiving morning but we had a fight and I threw the mixing bowl to the floor.

See! You are trying to solve problems by throwing mixing bowls, which you learned, no doubt, from China Warrior.
