Maybe imported because he modded the pins to play import games? So you would need a convertor to play US games?
Would be nice if that was mentioned in the auction.

Looks like just the games are Imported.... boy that would suck to buy that and not be able to play any of the games....

This System only plays Import Games. However, it can play US games with the use of a HU card adapter(rare and not included).

I think that makes it pretty clear that it has been modded to play PCE games.
