I get the idea of Not allowing members to post about shooting or killing other people, but I think we all need to lighten up a bit.  Joe is one of the funniest guys I've ever met on these forums/ interwebs, I can't see why we're just closing threads rather than just warning people about their posts, or just 'letting it go' cause its friggin' Fighting Street!  If anything why not just delete the posts, or suspend peoples accounts?

I agree that this forum is 100% useless.  It serves zero purpose except to give people a place to antagonize others.  It's PCEngineFX's elementary school playground.

Not exactly, I take my duties (semi?) seriously here as well, it's just Joe seems to be around a whole lot more often than I am. By the time I show up, the flames have usually long since subsided to glowing embers.

I completely agree with this and was one of my original points when the forum was created.  That led to the "no direct insults" rule.  I don't really understand the point of the forum at all.  Like someone else said, a little drama never hurt and it is OK to have that outside of the Fighting Street.  I don't even mind very mild direct insults such as "dumbass" or whatnot, just as long as it isn't too aggressive.  This forum only exists to, well, I don't know any more.  I'm not sure it ever served a useful purpose. 

When I was a back at OverClocked ReMix.com, there was a mass spazz-out and exodus of the forums.  They were unmoderated at the time.  The owner of the site decided to restructure things, but wanted to keep one section of the forum unmoderated.  I was against it, but my only suggestion was to call it UnModerated since that type of capitalization matched the rest of the site.  It was mainly a place for people to post porn, not much more.  If you were to visit the place now, you'd see that section no longer exists.  Why not?  It did not contribute anything to the forums. 

If you want to post porn and crazy things, 4Chan might be a good place.  If you want to insult and get a few chuckles with your buddies at the expense of others, maybe the shoutbox is the place for it.
