10/31/2023: Localization News - Dead of the Brain 1!

No, NOT a trick, a Halloween treat! Presenting the Dead of the Brain 1 English patch by David Shadoff for the DEAD last official PC Engine CD game published by NEC before exiting the console biz in 1999! No no my dear boy its not a problem at all anyone who wishes to witness the generosity of Bluebmw first hand is quite welcome (When i say anyone i mean anyone who lives far enough away for it to be impractical to actually make said journey, i dont want a load of random freaks of the internet turning up at me house.)

Ok it arived three days ago and i still havent posted in the thread to say thanks  :oops:


Well time to big up MR BMW. The PCE arived in a superb little parcel, lovingly wrapped and labled up, BMW even made a little carboard sleeve for the loose HU Card. Bless his cotton socks.

Oh! speaking of HU cards he sent two!, thats right not one but two! I cant remember the names of the games so you will have to make do with a my poor description and then guess, the first one was stretchy arm man game and the second was blazinglazers with a dragon type game.

It came with one controller in excellent shape a US power supply wich i will buy a step down converter for and keep as a backup, and a composite cable all in excellent condition! Ill post some pictures tonight 8)

Oh and it came with the grey thingy that plugs into the back but im not sure what it does :oops:

The gray thing on the back is a tennokoe bank for saving games.  Not exactly sure how it works though.

There was actually a physical, attachable Tennokoe Bank?  I thought that was just a card.  Perhaps the thing that attaches just allows for game saves from certain HuCards, kind of like attaching the interface unit to the PCE or TG-16 or the TurboBooster Plus.

Like Joe surmised, it provides save space akin to a TurboBooster+ or IFU.

I think some games (Neutopia is one of them I think) have the ability to use the "file cabinet" to save games rather than writing down a long annoying password.  I think that's the purpose of it :P

blueBMW: in games that save to 'internal memory' on a duo, can save to the tennokoe bank on a coregrafx.
