OK, I usually got Tuesdays off work here and a Turbo collection at my dirty old house just begging to be played again so I wanted to start a weekly series focusing on the awesomeness of this system. Introducing the crazy TURBO TUESDAYS!
In my first vid of this series I picked out 15 of the hardest TG-16 card games ever in my opinion, which I'm sure is open to debate:
Unlike my older Turbo Reviews, Baby! series where it was mostly reviews and video quality sucked:
This is going to a more historical look back about some of cool, weird, and just plain odd things about the Turbo plus my camera's a bit better now too (my old Raiden review looks terrible btw).

So if anybody as any ideas what I can do for future episodes just let me know.

Bernie

Subbed! You kind of remind me of the Jack Black of the TG-16 world, haha.

Thanks for the sub, you're not the first to say I look like Jack Black.

The camera is better.

Everyone has different strengths/weaknesses, but I was surprised to see Super Star Soldier as more challenging than Raiden! Especially given your skills with Raiden.

Raiden and R-Type are definitely challenging for me, though. With Sinistron, I actually choke more often on the early ASTEROID STAGE more than the last stage (where the enemies are much quicker). I think it is a mental hang-up, but I do not consistently pass the asteroid stage.

I've never gotten far with Night Creatures.

Impossamole, Hero Tonma, Victory Run, etc. aren't too bad, but these lists are subjective so...

;)

Anyway, the real reason I'm posting: TIMEBALL IS A GREAT GAME. GIVE IT ANOTHER CHANCE. DON'T abandon it.

For real.

Super Star Soldier seems easier but the lack of bombs really makes you a sitting duck especially in the later stages where they throw everything at you at once. Sinistron really gets evil in stage 5 in my opinion, I hate those homing missiles. Sorry but I'll have to pass on Timeball there.

New Turbo Tuesday 'n junk. In this episode I get a new book and get talking about getting high scores in Turbografx-16 games. I need to look tougher after coming off like a wussy in my last Hardest 15 episode (Super Star Soldier is too difficult 'cries').

Great stuff, now to do cdrom2/super cd games like Exile 2 or if you are up for the challenge, Wizardry 3&4 for the pc engine. Don't be turned off by the fact Wizardry 3 and 4 are in Japanese, its actually mostly in English and completely playable. Wizardry 4 is even harder without a guide, its one of those games you'll almost have to map out by hand. ^^

I just got Exile 2 recently as well.

Hey, Star. Could you do a review of Browning? That game rocks!

I always thought that Ordyne was kind of hard. I did beat it once but, that was back in my younger days when I had good reflexes and played for hours on end.

Psychosis is another tough one for me and Sinistron can be rough too.

Yeah, Ordyne can get a lot harder in the later stages but thankfully the game lets you continue in place unlike Sinistron and Psychosis. Sadly my actual PC Engine collection is pretty small and I never even owned or played Browning before.

Oh, man! You have GOT to try this game! I saw it on ebay about a week ago, going pretty cheap.

They might still have it if the time hasn't expired yet.

It's kind of like Eternal City or Cybernator (S-NES). Strangely it's dubbed in english and the cinemas are impressive!

NecroPhile

Browning rocks?  Yep, I've officially heard it all now.  :P

It's kind of a Robo-Tech fetish thing. I can't help it.

DesmondThe3rd

I'll see if I can hunt that game down especially if it's still cheap. Anyway I have a new Turbo Tuesdays where I talk about original launch line of the Turbografx-16 in 1989 and why I picked up the system over the Genesis.
