I never used a cheat for R-Type, The only thing i ever used was slow mo on the turbo stick. to much flicker on the game causes invisible bullets to hit you.

Thanks, as a kid and till this day ive always thought. If you need a cheat to beat a game then your not a true gamer. Cheats take the fun away from the way games was ment to be played.

I agree, I always hated cheats and codes takes the fun out of the game, once you start it is hard to stop.

Once we finish this list...we should do it again and see how few days it takes to clear out the list completely. We could set a start date (7/1 or 8/1 or something) and stick to it.

I think we'd have to put some requirements as proof though...like including a picture + date visible somewhere in the pic (like some FS forums require as proof). Might be kind of a hassle, but it'd be fun to see just how quickly the forum can clear every US title.

Slow motion is cheating. I suck at shooters and have beaten R-Type with slow-motion. It's cheating.

I don't feel slow motion is cheating. Its built on the 1st party controller and not a madcatz 3rd party contrller its not cheating. Just like we all use turbo on the Nec controllers but not the Nes ones.

If you have to input a code or say a certain UP UP DOWN DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A START then that's cheating. Using what's giving to you to use on a controller is fair game.

Just try some Super Nintendo game like Super R Type or Gradius III. All you do is play the games for instant slowdown!

The way lil is counting them, yes.  There's technically also other versions of listed titles (i.e. - Meteor Blaster DX:SE and the demo discs), but there's no good reason to count those separately.

Yeah I didn't count demo disk because there not real games and if a game came in 2 forms ,like Bonk 3, I just counted it as one game. I think I have Meteor Blaster on there, I'll go check.

Totally man! It was like RC Pro-Am for the NES, but better. Most people had Bomberman house parties back in those days...I had Motoroader parties! 5 buddies battling it out for road surpremecy, so damn fun. The game was way more balanced then the sequels too. HI-TURBO FTW

Shockman complete! got this game about a week ago and the last level had been giving me fits for awhile, happy to put this one in the books. Seems like people don't talk about this game very much. it's definitively not one of the top sidescrollers on the turbo, but a good game none the less.

Since everyone is cooperatively beating all of the games, is it okay for us to cooperatively beat a single game?

I started playing Boxy Boy last night and after a couple levels that I spent a lot of time on, I started wondering if I would get to a point where I get stuck and give up.  Since the game uses a password system, we could easily post passwords further into the game and anyone could continue from that point.

I think I completed C.F. Boxing I won the title for the year '80 and saw the end credits. I'll post pics in a bit. Oh, and this game is NOT entertaining in the least.

Ballistix I don't see as able to be completed/cleared.  I've played it, but nothing special happened after beating the CPU aside from entering your name at the high score screen.
