Of course it is over priced....  WTF?  Starting bid 100.00????   Start that auction at a lower price, and it WILL climb to whatever it is worth to people.

not sure if this is gouging or not just seems pricey
The last few copies of Neutopia 2 have gone for $60-70. Its a little over-priced, and will probably only sell if someone is desperate to get it.
A little overpriced? I paid $20 for a loose copy of this not even 6 months ago. Whats next, $100 complete copies of Keith Courage?

I think $20 is about what I paid for a loosie 2-3 years ago, and the manual was given to me by a member here (in rough shape, but hey, it was free).

Don't really know...  The stuff I sold hasn't resurfaced yet AFAIK..  I was prepared to cancel bids though, seeing as the high bidder was new, yet had over 400 feedback from the last 3 months, I was a little worried that the Paypal or credit card fraud claims were going to start coming in...

motorshops seems like a reseller, but i wasn't able to find wingsfire1973, wonder what's up with that.
anywho, it's not like anyone is going to pay that realistically, there's got to be a catch, esp. since there's BIN listings for waaaaaay cheaper.

Looking at motorshops feedback  - looks like it was paid, because the seller has already left feedback.  Who knows? Maybe motorshops is sitting on a case of Sinistrons and wants to create an illusion of demand..

I don't get this.  The game is disassembled.  Aren't those the EPROM chips that are exposed in the photo?  Don't you need to put light blocking tape over them so the EPROMs don't erase?  That whole listing has me shaking my head.

The description claims the case protects the content from UV, and that if needed, the EPROM cam be reprogrammed. The idiot didn't consider the EPROM are soldered in and you'd need some fancy equipment to remove those chips without showing any damage to the PCB.  A $10 soldering iron and $10 desoldering tool from Radio Shack won't do the job cleanly.

The funniest part of that retarded slabbed NWC is that those are EEPROMs, not standard ROMs. While the case is "UV protective" it is far less protective then the game being closed up. So basically, he's damaged the cart by slabbing it. Also, VGA grading a loose NWC cart is a new low in money grubbing by VGA. I try and keep an open mind, but ruining a piece of video game history this way is just lame.

That is some good detective work. Are these just rich folks, or is there some evidence of shill bidding? It wouldn't surprise me to see a couple o' crazy sealed collectors bidding the crap out of an item. Better than spending money on Dressage horses...

Sealed collectors are a weird bunch. While it is amazing to see a sealed collection, the money behind it is mind boggling. Especially since they are paying a premium for what amounts to a $0.05 layer of cellophane. Whenever I get sealed stuff, I try and ditch it ASAP, because it has no value to me.

Like this guy:
http://www.reddit.com/r/gamecollecting/comments/pc4xd/my_complete_licensed_nes_collection/

Amazing collection, prefers to play on emulators. To each their own, I guess.

That said, I'm pretty sure no one on this forum wants to have any sealed games, so the price on this particular item is meaningless here.

The thing is, shilling up an item does you no good if there isn't a serious bidder at the top. Otherwise, you are stuck with the sellers fees for an item you didn't actually sell. (Yes, there is a work-around).

Even this will come down some.  I remember last year there was a really nice Shockman (not sealed) that went for 220+ in the box, which was nuts but even by current ebay standards that was way high.

This was just the case of two wacko's viewing losing the auction as a shot at their pride I think, or as mentioned earlier driving up the price, like somebody is sitting on 12 boxed Sinistron's and they wanna put one out every two months something dumb like that.
Gypsies did it.

I've heard there was a v1.0 card - what does it look like, was it ever released in the States, etc? Which games were 1.0 compatible? (My guess is Fighting Street and Monster lair, since they have the two unique splines for the entire TGCD/Super CD set)
