Hmmm, I'm going to say if it does top 3 it'll go over by quite a bit.
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)
BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

I think it will stop by 3500.00.  Its a risky figure but I think it will.  Terms?

I know, I paid like 5% of that price for the PCE version. Kind of irritating that I will probably never get the Turbo version for under $150 but such a thing is life.

Ok, I say "over $3k, which obviously isn't very specific.
You say $3,500 tops.
So how about this. If its under $3,250, I win. Over, you win ?
That will hold up both down to specific margins, in the ballpark of our initial estimates.
An actual win of $3,250 ?? Well, guess we'll have to arm wrestle to settle it !

$25k monies is quite a lot.  Even if you break down the rare games by high end prices, that doesn't make sense.  If Magical Chase is estimated at...  $3k (I know!), there are a few other games that sell in the low hundreds with boxes, and a bunch of $50 and below games.

Going by non-deal eBay prices, the games in the completeness and condition they appear to be, minus Magical Chase, go for about $2000 nowadays. Say you're generous enough to value the TG-16 with stick, tap and empty CD case for even as much as $100 - $150... and Let's get crazy and say as much as $5000 for Magical Chase... That's still <$7000 of games by inflated eBay prices.

But this is actually counts as a set and genuinely deserves a premium instead of a steep discount for the size of the lot. Now, it is barely a set collectible-wise, since the System cards are missing. Calling it a set of games gives it more of a game playing based value as a set than a collector's "complete set!"... So bumping it up to $10000 isn't plausible even from an elitist set collector's perspective. But even then, it would still only be a fraction of the asking price. Which makes you wonder, if you're going to ask so much more than the value of something to even the richest, laziest and most impatient uber collectors... then why settle for $15000? Why not ask for $150000?

It's 15k now which is still quite high considering this doesn't seem to include any CD rom titles and or a Duo system. It's probably worth more around 5-6k if you break down everything individually using current sold eBay prices.

I guess for someone who might be loaded this would be an easy way to get a complete chip collection, but damn that's a lot of dough.

he is hoping for some huge offer, from someone who doesn't know any better, or wants a quick collection. He thinks someone will precieve value if he accepts a 8-10K offer.  Also the way the idiot has the title listed would mean there would be 2 copies of MC, MC + there would be another copy to reach the 94. Although that is clearly not the offer.  It also seems like he waited for MC to be auctioned off on Ebay so he could jump on the bandwagon.

I do not think any game is worth the biddding amount for Magical Chase. It is just a waste of money I rather take my family out to a vacation with that money.

This one is definitely gouging. Then again, I don't pay too much attention to how much boxes of games are going for. I'd guess with Magical chase, bonk3, and Soldier Blade being in there then around 4,000-5,000 tops not 15,000.

yeah this was discussed a little further back in the thread.  I maintain he's looking for an offer in the 8-12k range from some idiot, so they think they are getting a great deal.  Gouging at it's best, put up some crazy number, and the sheep will follow, between this and the MC up, you expect games to be at a premium when anyone sitting on the games will assume they can get crazy prices.  Damn i feel cheap for the ninja spirit and hit the ice I picked up for $20 each with the outer boxes.

Guess the 8 offers has him realizing he was 8-10K or so over what he should be. LOL. or was it people here asking him What the hell he was doing.
For me it's pretty interesting to see an entire U.S. collection listed.  This is the first one I've seen one posted on eBay.  That, and Magical Chase listed at the same time.  For me it's exciting to watch both auctions even though I don't have the slightest intention of bidding and the prices are out of this world.

Yep, the last box sold for $300 without documents and without original styrofoam, and the one before that sold for over $500 with original sytrofoam but with out documents.  Yes those were only boxes for the systems, as they are much more rare and collectible than the systems themselves.- egamers_store7574

Really?  If I put a turbo cd in the box, what will happen?
Since I keep my eye on turbo auctions every once in a while, I recently saw some dolt actually pay $45+ for a Turbo CD power supply only.  I thougt the person asking that much was crazy, but I guess there's a match for everybody.  This stuff must be getting really hard to come by.

Yep, the last box sold for $300 without documents and without original styrofoam, and the one before that sold for over $500 with original sytrofoam but with out documents.  Yes those were only boxes for the systems, as they are much more rare and collectible than the systems themselves.- egamers_store7574

My Response to this:
"more rare and collectible than the systems themselves."

(this seller is the one who sold the power supply with a starting bid of $45)
I've had a few email exchanges with this guy through my regular mail account.  He absolutely refuses to ship to Canada.  Something about PayPal won't cover the Seller if the item is lost.  Last time I checked, PayPal never covered an item that was lost so I don't know what the hell he is talking about.

$230 for Cotton is dumb.
I'm busy playing pinball, but I still drop by to visit.
