Everyone on here seems to have some way of burning pc fx games which is not always the same method like everyone else.

So i want to know how does everyone else burn them to there CD?

My way is to mount the image with Daemon tools, then using a trail version of CloneCD (it works gameplay is fine but everything else...meh..)

So my question to everyone that has ever burnt games successfully, how did you burn your game? Did it work 100% in the console? Thank you~

Imgburn is what I use to rip my Japanese PS2 games and burn them after ESR patching them. I've never had a bad result.

I mounted in Daemon Tools and used CloneCD. Haven't experienced the jitter and skipping that was mentioned in the other thread. Burned at 4x (slowest my burner could do). Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Just burned with img  (was forced to use 10x speed)...and wasted a disc. Didn't read or anything
Maybe i should try another burner and try img burn again...

I burn at max speed, though I have a newer Blu Ray burner. Is it possible you just have shoddy rips? Thats always something to consider.

I have tested all the roms on a emu, plays 100% fine, the only 1 method that only works is that clondCD method, thats it-_- guess ill try another burner with img burn and try 4X but i dont think it will work. Must find a legit game to test the laser becuase if every burnt cd works 50/50 then it must be the laser..

Every disc with CloneCD, i put the cd back inside the laptop and run the emulator and pick the CD as the game, plays 100% fine even perfect even, i take the cd and stick it in the pc fx and it dosen't play as good, gameplay is 100% but any intro or cut scene is glitchy and goes bad.

With img burn i found the image, i burn it. The emulator does not find it and it just doesn't work..

Same here, maybe even slower burning.  I've not had any problems with the handful of discs I've burned thus far.

I used ImgBurn to make my patched copy of Welcome to Pia Carrot and it worked perfectly. Although I ripped a legit copy of the game myself. I don't really trust rips from online.

What brand of CDr? And its always possible its a hardware issue, though I'm no hardware guru.

I doubt CD-R brand is gonna make a difference. I use cheapy Memorex brand CD-Rs and it works without issue.

spawn844

Im using Memorex brand CD-Rs and every game i burn the intro and cut scenes are laggy/glitchy and just dont run and most time it will bring an error saying disc read error.
Though if i skip all that and go t the game play its fine, gameplay is 100% working.

so do you have any original games to check if they show the same issues?

f.e. a bad adjusted laser usually results in exactly that behavior you're describing.

im going to be bidding online for a few pc fx games to test the laser but im pretty sure its the laser adjustment in which i have no sweet clue what to do.

I have been experiencing the same problems originals work perfect and burned game were jumpy and skipped music, so i tried different makes of CD-R from cheap brands to Verbatim with mixed results and then i found JVC Taiyo Yuden disks, if you burn them slow always a good idea they work perfect.

i have RE-burned all my pc engine games again with these disks and have found them to be excellent quality, done about 10 PC-FX games so far and they all work perfect  now need more disks.

only thing there not cheap but worth every pennie here is a like.

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere. You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!
