They're cool to own, but as you're probably well aware of, they do develop sound issues (bad caps?).
That's the case with the one to the left of the pic. It arrived in pretty bad shape. I cleaned it up as best I could (you can still see the discoloration on the case). And since I know eff all with regard to the technical/repair side of things, I'm forced to draw the sound out of the CoreGrafx.

Quote from: Bardoly on 08/09/2013, 01:27 AMMy SuperGrafx is patiently awaiting a Super CD Rom mate.

Yeah, I'm loving the system so far. There's something really compelling about it...the way the graphics pop off the screen, the pick-up-and-play nature of the games etc. The PC Engine is majestic.

Bardoly

Welcome to Pcenginefx!

That is indeed a very nice start!

If you like, go ahead and start an introduction thread and tell us a bit about yourself.  Here's my introduction thread from when I registered here last year.

I've played that one before, it's basically the original arcade game plus a few variations of it, kinda like the SNES game.

Thanks. I have the HuCARD Space Invaders and was curious about the differences. I like the updated version on the HuCARD.    :pcgs:

Thanks to Turboswimz, I now own a JPN Duo. I am very happy. Time to put my Core Grafx on the market. Played Arkhan's Insanity on real hardware for the first time today.

Don't hesitate to do business with Turboswimz. He's a good seller.

Makes for a nice little system to bring over to parties/meetups too. I usually play on my Duo-R but I keep a white PCE around for 5-player Bomberman sessions at friends' houses and the like.

This is about a month ago, until today..
Schibibinman3 bought from HitJapan for about 30-40USD cannot remember. Won a domestic ebay action for AdvanceVG for 10 bucks w/ free ship. Mr Heli loose from Ebay under 10USD, incredible game. and after searching for a long time for another WORKING PCE pad, picked this Avenue 3 for 20USD including ship from a store somewhere in Europe.

Mr. Heli is an awesome pickup for $10! I still haven't been able to beat the lvl 2 Boss (the giant ball that nearly insta-kills you upon touch, but up until then it's pure heaven. And I'm sure once I figure that guy out theere will be plenty of more joy.  It's a great game.

I really enjoyed Hellfire S, and I've been wanting to get Trave Eple for quite a while, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Good luck with that.
Been looking for months and I have contacted quite a few that used to do them with no luck.
Avoid Raven Games  [-X unless you want to pay big bucks and they are bodgers of the highest order.
You could try getting a NEC RGB/AV BOX which outputs an amplified RGB scart (nice) and composite+audio L/R

RGB-AV-Booster.webp (google is your friend)

No modification required, plugs into the ext bus, but you won't be able to use it in conjunction with a CD unit.

Some nice pick ups everyone, haven't been able to post in quite a while but last week was the best score for me this year hands down (finally i would say) :
