He has a complete US HuCard set, yes. Don't know if he bothers with the CD games, don't remember him ever mentioning them, although he does have a TurboDuo, so who knows?

My biggest problem with the youtube game reviews in general is that it is just some 30 year old in his mom's basement and a webcam talking about a game that they liked on the fly. Worse is that charisma is in real short supply with these people. Clearly not many of them see the sun much.

I like Spida1a cause I don't have to see him. Why do we have to see any of these trolls (not in a Tommy Vercetti kinda way) anyway? Seriously, if the game is that damn good then show it! We don't need to see your translucently pale face garble up an unscripted video love letter to the game. At least gamesack, scripts their videos but still. Who really wants to look at either of those two at all? They got the kind of expressionless faces only a mother could love. I can actually envision them filming in one of their basements and finishing up wondering if anyone wants to see their videos and mom overhears:

"Oh, I think you make lovely videos, boys. I bet the whole world wants to see them."
"Gee, ya think, ma?"
"Oh, yes. How could they not? Now have some rice krispie treats and tang before you feed the cats."

Metal jesus falls under the first category but also We need to address the names of some of these people. "Metal Jesus"? I used to be Christian and would have found his name blasphemously offensive. Now I am an athiest and can't help but find his choice in name to just be laughably ill-informed. Maybe he has viewers that aren't either of those but that means the name Jesus has no real meaning. ...Also his metal sucks as much as his dopy pale Kay (the twit brother from Disney's Sword in the Stone) face.

AVGN is different. His videos are about his reaction and not so much about the game. I find him to be hysterical at times but wearing thin on game insults at this point. Maybe that is why he hasn't gotten into turbo yet. What else could it be, right? I mean the turbo library has every bit as many cold turds as it does masterpieces.

As for not wanting to see the reviewer like alpha omega I also always assumed the reviewer or person in general simply didn't have a way to capture the game footage without it looking awful so they opt to talk about it with pictures spliced in or other footage. Usually he uses public domain footage of a trailer. I assumed so as not to rip off another persons videos

Lastly spida1a is great. He is largely who sparked my interest to revisit a system I knew little about. He has a pleasing non grading voice. Good editing, and a generally fun way to review his games. I also like his older stuff he made from a camera and VHS recording. It reminds me of how I use to use the VHS to record my high scores and play throughs.

I agree... Metal Jesus is a fucking wanker. Most of what he does are pickup videos, and rare gem videos. I really don't give a shit to watch a 30 min video of all the shit you picked up at yard sales, or someone gave to you.

I would love to see more turbo on AVGN. God why hasn't he reviewed these? In my opinion, Gunboat is every bit as atrocious as Deadly Towers or Dr. Jekyll.

I was so happy the day I got Gunboat. I shopped for a couple months on ebay and finally got a price that I felt was under the ebay market value. I got it maybe 3-4 days after eager anticipation. I pop it in and couldn't figure that shit out to save my life. It was such a pile of fuck I didn't bother to read the manual or try it since. I've had it collecting dust for 2 years lol. It is beyond garbage.

Well, you gotta give it a chance. It sucks, IMHO, due to pacing issues (most of us want action games on a console and the simulation vibe from Gunboat just turns folks off).

BUT,mix had more fun playing Funboat than Falcon, so...Falcon is the true turd. And Ballistix.

I was thinking the same thing. Wow they really suck at this game. It seems like they don't memorize the enemy movements and try to run thru parts where it won't end well.

Anyways hopefully the price doesn't increase. They did splatterhouse not that long ago, and I don't think the price really changed for that one.

Oh god they did such a horrid job of it I think they might have actually turned some people off on it lol. Which is also good. Plus they had the turbo switches on full blast on the game. When it came to splatter house

Dracula X isn't a particularly hard game; that was painful to watch. It seemed like they were going to try to play it the same way and never change how they were going about doing stuff. After continuously mashing on one button and dying to the same enemy you'd think that eventually they'd learn to try something else. They even mentioned the backflip but still never bothered attempting to flip over a charging axe knight...
