I'm trying to use Super System Card 3.0 on my PCE CD-ROM2 Interface unit, but whenever I boot the bios it says System Card 3.0, not SUPER System Card.

Any ideas?  :-({|=

You'll have to sell this version, wait for TurboEverdrive v2.0 to be released in the next 2-3 months which will also support the Arcade System card if his plans work out.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll just buy a legit 3.0 card.  :-k

Is this going to emulate an Arcade Card Pro or Arcade Card Duo? I hope they do the former because it would work on all systems since not everyone will have enough RAM For it (Ie. IFU-30 units, etc)

There is no guarantee that it's going to have any Arcade Card functionality at all ... he just said that he'd look to see if he could add it.

There is no guarantee that the memory will be writable by the CPU ... although a lot of people are hoping.

If you carefully read what he said ... his main aims for a TED2 are to replace the flash memory with RAM (to make loading game images really fast), and to use it as a testbed for a new FPGA that he wants to use for all of his new designs moving forward.

Now ... I personally hope that it will have both writable RAM and Arcade Card functionality ... but that's entirely up to Krikzz.

I think it's kind of funny that people are upgrading their Everdrives because of the loading times.  Like that 10 seconds that the old cards take to load a game is just way too damned long?  Still faster than taking a game out of the card slot, putting it back in the case, walking over to the shelf, putting back the old game, getting out a new game, and reversing the process.  The Turbo Everdrive is perfect the way it is, in my opinion.  I guess it would be cool if it could act as an Arcade Card, but how much do those cost these days?  Mine couldn't have been more than $20-30.

Now if the new TE could act like a System 3.0 card then that would be helpful to folks who have or want a US TG16/CD setup...

cost a fair bit more nowadays, atleast double that

People said they're upgrading just cause of loading speed reductions ? I didn't see that. It's only 3-7 seconds per load and to take a selling loss over that is not worth it. But yeah, to be clear krik said *maybe* for backup RAM and Arcade Card support. He definitely said no to save state support and playing CD game rips from SD.

I was speaking more generally about people upgrading to newer Everdrives based on things I have read on various forums, not specifically about things said in this thread.
