WTB tg16 games

Hi everyone,
So this is my first thread. I am very happy to be here. Was referred to this site from a friend of mine on another retro gaming website.
Anyways my story goes is that I ended up with a tg16 in February with 2 controllers and 5 games for ten dollars. Games were
Super star soldier,
Keith courage
R type
Victory run
Blazing lasers
I ended building a nice collection and I ended up selling it for a down payment on a house with my other game system and collections.
2 weeks ago I won a 100.00 from a 2.00 scratch ticket and the next day I bumped into a kid who was selling a tg16 with cadash, parastol stars, and splatterhouse with a multi tap.

I love the system and I want to build a very nice collection so if anyone has any extra games they would like to sell please pm me.

I don't really care what the games are as long as they are complete with jewel case and manual.

No it wasn't. It was kalessin from another site who told me what a wonderful group of people this place has and I should be a member since I like the tg16 so much. I also looked around the pcengine b/s/t forums and nothing is really coming up.

So I am assuming that anything that winds up in your hands is either:

1) Going to sit on a shelf for eternity
or
2) Wind up being sold for gouge prices again when your kids need braces or something

If you're interested in playing the games then maybe consider an everdrive instead. The pricing on US games has gone stupid because of all the collectards getting into the whole gotta get em all thing.

Alright let me rephrase and break it down here:

So six months ago you had a TG16 that you got a good deal on but then proceeded to sell for no doubt a huge profit.

So you really dont care what you get as long as its in collectible condition. Loose dirty but fully playable hucards are unacceptable. Only premium complete games. And who cares if its Gunboat or Drop Off (I like Drop Off btw) or Klax, as long as its collectible quality then thats ok.

Here's the deal. A lot of the people here are gamers first, collectors secondly. Most of us are weary of the current state of the retrogaming hobby. So many people pop into this forum looking to buy rare collectible US games on the cheap because eBay is too expensive. I'm sorry, you just come across as a collectard flipper looking for good deals to "build your collection" which you have already told us you would have no problem selling for a tidy profit to pay for something else. Most people here wont go for it.

So again, my suggestion is to get an everdrive or go to ebay for your purchases. You will be hard pressed to find any good deals here anymore as there just arent any to be had. The people who do have stuff to sell tend to either sell amongst the people they know or drop it on ebay if they need the money.

wow blue I guess you know who I am huh? Guess you know I'm going to flip all or any tg16 games.
I am a gamer. I sold my collection of not only tg16, but nes, and Genesis to place a down payment on a house for me and my family. I did that for a good reason. The kid you say I somehow took advantage of was selling his tg16 to a retro game store and he asked for a 100.00. I did not lowball the kid.
So here I am getting a tg16 back and want to start to build a nice collection and this site was suggested to me and so I'd thought I'd ask and try to get some games. It's not too often that I find 2 hell of a deals on the tg16. It was almost fate that I got my tg16. So this is why I am really wanting to start collecting for the tg16.
I'm not trying to flip or to lowball anyone here. If I wanted to flip then I would be on a snes or nes forums.

Here is another issue Mas. You join a forum that is dedicated to the PCE and the TG-16, yet you seem to only be here to look for games to buy. This is why Blue suggested to go to ebay if all you want is games. How about you get to know the community first. Join some discussions, ask questions about games, or what games to play ect. No you come in this group of established community members, and basically say "sell me your unwanted games because i want to play them, but they need to have the plastic case and paper instructions because somehow i can't play the games without those"?

Can you see why people who have been on this forum for years would see that as suspect. Blue, and many other have been on this forum for a long time, and far to often people with the same mindset as you come along, try to buy things from members, and then just vanish. No one here wants to deal with that shit, and no one here is going to have open arms to someone who's first post consist of asking for games.

Sure, play your games, enjoy them. Come back here and talk about them. Become an established member of the community, and the community will help you. Thats the way it works in these forums. No one is here to make money. So simple selling games to anyone is not a thing that happens here.

Please, don't. Mas has this habit of buying and selling everything, and don't let him fool you about the house thing. That was a recent addition. We're talking about years of doing this. Plus, he's a known and out and proud flipper.

Remember that "other site" he mentioned? That was Racketboy, and you can see all the details for yourself there, can see the jokes about mas buying everything and then selling on ebay or at a local store.

What, you think those would ever come back to PCEFX?

And that's why people are dicks with noobs here. I wasn't harassed by a single member here when I joined back in 2013, and that's because I didn't came here trying to buy cheap stuff, and it was the same with all "established community members" here.

You don't have to prove that you were in the TurboList or have a 2001 reg date to be accepted here. Just don't treat this place as "EBAY with 2000's prices!" and you'll be fine.

Well well pwuaioc must feel pretty good right now. He must feel like a big man on campus that he told everybody here how in the past I would buy my games, keep them for a little bit, either money got tight or I needed cash for bills or my last purchase buy a house with my collection for my family and end up getting pretty much everything back like a tg16 with 3 games in which I DID NOT "flip" but gave them to another friend who is just starting on the tg16.
I don't care what anyone here says because we all have bought games and later on in life sold them. I came here because I thought this would be a good site to not only learn more about the tg16, but to add games to my collection. Grant it I have regret, sold, bought, and resell games in the past and no one here has ever done that? We all have done it.
I never had a problem with pwuaioc. But for him to bash me like this was not cool. I wonder if he just hates because in less than 6 months not only do I get two tg16 and some of the best games for it but I spent really no more than ten bucks.

There's nothing to stop. I point out his own words as a warning to others. Sound advice was given (like get an everdrive), and people are now (sort of) aware of mas' tendency. I don't hate the guy or think he's purposefully an asshole or anything. And I'll leave the "goofing off" to those in Fighting Street. There have been some popcorn-worthy ones lately.

We do indeed. It's not so much that you sold stuff to pay for ______ and later regretted it, as many here have done that; it's that you beg for deals on forums to build your collection, then sell elsewhere to maximize your return. We don't need yet another leech.

Also you guys don't have to worry on me about selling away the pcengine and the tg16. That's in the past. I got 2 systems in less than 6 months. It's a sign from the bonk gods for me to keep it. Now does anyone have magical chase to sell me..... Just kidding bad joke!!!

What's in the past is in the past and right now in the present I'm playing and have the pcengine, the tg16, the ps2 which is probably the best system ever and of all time and the nes which is also such a great system. And tgose three systems is what I'm keeping and buying and playing in the future. If some of you don't want to help me out in building a better collection that's cool with me. My day isn't ruined. It's bright and sunny over my end of the world.

Dude, you really need to learn the "edit post" button.

He didn't make that up; "collectard" has been the nomenclature for dudes such as yourself for awhile now.

And seriously, consider an ED. I used to scoff at it, simply because I enjoyed using the games & consoles the way they were intended. I still feel that way, though, and still have a decent amount of hucards despite having an everdrive. I've even bought a couple since I got the Everdrive.

Given your apparent history, I doubt you'll get too lucky trying to buy games on this forum, so if you want to take advantage of le dealz, you could start by showing that you do actually want to play these games. Talk about the games, and not just about how you acquired them. And seriously, consider getting an ED because it's a good way to try games before you buy them, if you still insist on collecting. Plus it doesn't cost much more than a rare Turbo game, and it gives you access to ALL teh games, so there shouldn't be any qualms.

Plus, a flashcart is the only way to play some of the homebrew goodies and translated games on real hardware.
