I'm raffling some games. Here is Tonma!

This raffle is open to everyone with at least 200 posts and isn't a f**k!
(Might lower it later if not enough people hop on, we'll see.)

Rules:

1.) Must play the damn thing.
2.) Do not sell it.
3.) If you no longer want it in the future, raffle it back.
4.) Take a picture of it when it arrives and post it here. (Take a picture of yourself playing it for extra points.)

I always liked this game. It is fun. Not groundbreaking. But fun.

I also really like Karnov (NES), and I feel that this is the closest PCE ever got to having a "Karnov"...but Karnov was more ambitious with items and level design.

Still, this is a fun game.

Question: This can't really be the same flipper/full-collector guy here, can it ? But wow, that is pathetic in just looking at his account, it's been there for almost 2 years and almost all he waits to post in are the raffle threads... This is precisely why you want something like a 250 post minimum restriction or something. Like the guy didn't have the energy to even try faking being a member that actually cares about the forum beyond freebies by posting enough filler to qualify him for most raffles that have post count restrictions, etc.

In unpacking my collection a few nights ago, I realized that someone sent me this for Secret Santa a few years back, or I bought it in the middle of moving houses and I left it in an envelope, put it in a box, and forgot about it. I had played before, but remembered not liking it - I watched some YouTube videos of it when the raffle was posted and figured I should like it.. When I tried it out again today I loved it! It is like a platformer/shooter, and is quite challenging.

I remembered why I didn't like it in the past - it was the main character sprite. Obviously I didn't give the game a good enough chance back then because it is great... The character movement is responsive and quick. It is almost like an evolution of Ninja Spirit...

Almost all English too (well it is pretty bad English...)

More games like this please!

Glad it arrived in time for the bestest day ever. lol Also, there are a lot of games out there that just need a good shake, ya know? I've been guilty of being dickish to decent games, I think everyone has at one point or another. Probably has to do with whether or not I'm in good spirits*. Always good to go back and give things another shot. My favorites are ones that take me multiple tries to figure out if I like it or not. Sometimes taking me to the point of "Why the f**k am I playing this?? Ahhh!!!"
