I have setup a new website for the PC Engine that hopefully people will find useful. As I like to collect the hardware I found it very difficult to find a definitive list of what was officially released... the only sites out there are Japanese and only Japanese PC Engine focused.

I have pulled together everything I am aware of, for all Japanese, American, British and French hardware items... I am sure there are things I have missed so please let me know if you know of anything. The pictures so far have come from my collection or some members and many of the pictures I have pulled from the internet, so if these are yours then thanks in advance, but if you woudl like them removed, please let me know and I will source another.

There are still some photos that I am looking to include, so if you have the items and can help then please let me know.

I need photos of the items and boxes where applicable for the following items:
CD-ROM2 AC Adaptor (PI-AD1)
Duo Monitor AC Adaptor (PAD-126)
*FOUND* NEC LaserActive Control Pad
NEC PC-KD863G Control Pad
PC Engine Duo Carrying Bag
Pioneer LaserActive Extension Cable
Power Pack Conversion Kit (PK-01C)
*FOUND* Shogakukan Card Holders
*FOUND* Turbo Duo Intelligent Link

And I need photos of the boxes for the following items:
*FOUND* Battle Stick 307
*FOUND* Beeshu Ultimate Superstick
*FOUND* Turbo Duo Pad
Fly-Wing Joystick
Hori Wing Commander

I have then also added in some useful software lists and info... for anyone involved in homebrew and can see anything I have missed or got wrong then please let me know. Or if I have not got images or info for your homebrew then tell me and i'll get it added.

Hopefully this will all be useful for some people... enjoy.  :)

CrackTiger

Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Yes it is... just realised I hadn't actually put a link to it so have added that now.

Glad you like... I did actually put a link to your site on the Links section and to all sites that I have used over the years, but I had to create some custom sized images so they were all the same... hope that's ok.

I like the look of the site. Is there a reason that Caravan Shooters are singled out exclusively for their own page, as opposed to shooters or other genres?

Well the PC Engine was known for its Caravan tournaments (as is the Famicom) so I wanted to document all for the games (including hidden) where there is a timed scoring option.

There are already many sites with full/genre bases game lists... pcengine.co.uk, pcecp.com, pcedaisakuisen.net etc but none of them provide this list for caravan games, so I have. :)

Quote from: guest on 12/31/2015, 09:42 PMOne question... on accessory support, i see a few entries for the Virtual Cushion. I always thought it was simply a bass shaker butt seat thing. Do you know if games like metamor jupiter and image fight 2 really do anything special for the virtual cushion?
I'm not aware that the games are any different, as you say all games will work as it just adds the bass, but I believe these games had a compatibility logo added as they were released at the same time... Image Fight II on the exactly the same day as the Virtual Cushion (18/12/1992) and Metamor Jupiter a month later (22/01/1993)

I'm going to get the text translated to know exactly what the logo says...

I can't read the two kanji, but the katakana says "Virtual Cushion" and "Soft" as in software.

It basically just means it supports the Virtual Cushion.

Thanks... possibly something like Virtual Cushion Enhanced Software or something. I was going to dig my copy out and work through it later... my Japanese is very limited and would have involved me matching up against a table of symbols. So thanks again for saving me the pain. :)

I like the Homebrew listed. I never knew all that existed. Lots of other info there in pictures that I never knew. I like what I am seeing. Has potential to be a very informative site.

I have that springboard converter for my TurboGrafx 16.

Thanks mate, that is what I hope... just wanted to get some info down first and get the site out there for comment.

If anyone has suggestions then please let me know, I want to make it as useful as I can.

I really liked the site good job.

So many accessories were released for our great system.  Every time I see a list like this I find something I had no clue existed.

Very nice project :)

I have been using an old Japanese site as a reference (for serial numbers, for finding related PCE products, etc.), but I'll gladly use your site  since it should be more "up to date"...

As I spend more time looking at the info you included, I'll add my 2 cents (pence), if need be.

ASIDE:
If we can't find good pics of actual boxes/ items, we can use advertisements/magazines.

Madou Monogatari could be added the ACD section?

Madou Monogatari is an official ArcadeCD game, the list I have created is all of the SuperCD titles that are Enhanced when run with the Arcade Card.

I knew I should have grabbed that URL as well ;)

Oh, you may want to remove Apothecary from that homebrew list because it's super dead now.

Super-dead?

After all the intellectual debates about the proper physiology and physics of running+hips+bosom?

Or was Apothecary with the Rastan-esque protagonist?

The old grey-matter is failing me.

Hmm, I too am confused.... Did I miss the death of Apothecary? Or am I getting it mixed up with a different game?

Rather than derail the thread, I've posted the answer in the Apothecary thread: https://www.pcengine-fx.com/forums/index.php?topic=16344.90

Site is awesome for my PCE noobness as it is a good reference point and resource, thanks rcantor for the time and effort.

Siskan

Great content. This has become a really good resource. Still I have some feedback for a couple of the best sections.

In the accessory compatibility list, it would be good if the user could order the list after each of the accessories by clicking their names. It would make it easier to scan for what you're interested in at the moment.

Perhaps it's a no-brainer to use the arcade card for any of those games enhanced by it, but it would still be nice to have more specific info about what exactly gets enhanced for each of the games.

Items in a few of the other categories would also benefit from additional desriptions.

I know that the Apollo joysticks were made in HK, by hong kong company, they may have been marketed and imported to the states, but they are definitely not made in US or by a US company

there were cheap ( new cost HK$300 /USD40) and noted for unreliability especially after a few years , unlike the hori ones which were double the price

rcantor77

Added some new hardware...

Hanyu Explorer Joystick
