I can't remember the exact timeline of events but I think that's when he was trying to rebuild his burnt reputation.

If I recall correctly he was even a mod on Neo-Geo.com and got banned for ripping people off.

People tend to forget that in the end, Dean did a lot more good then he did bad for the communities. As is, hope the guy is doing well, and still doing some obey from time to time.

I think he still lives and works here in the San Francisco Bay Area. I met Dean in person when he sold me the Duo-R. Was always nice to me so I was sad to hear of the issues later but I understood the whats and whys.

ProfessorMH is the one I credit for "encouraging" (shaming?) Dean to make good on all of his transactions here at pcefx. I wouldn't have a SuperCD + handful of great games if it weren't for Prof.

The truth is, Dean offered a refund...but I wanted the gear...and I don't think Dean had any desire to pack stuff up and ship it. None at all.

I signed up about 10 years ago after already lurking for years to fix my duo. His thread he started and other input from other members early on in that thread helped me with getting the CD audio back and enjoying Ys again. So I thank him for that.

Dean was a major contributor who made some bad decisions and then made a sincere attempt to rectify those mistakes.

On another note, I had some good deals with Dean. While he was always SLOWWWW to ship, I always got quality stuff from him.. Except I did get a DuoR from him, that wouldnt work one time. You know what he did? He sent me a Turbo Duo..... for real. I was blown away. Miss ole Dean, as my last several emails have went unanswered. He sent me a spreadsheet with games on it ,and prices. Last I heard from him, and that was several years ago.
