Yep, was watching that but it's too much.  $100 in cleaning supplies and there's no guarantee the control pad rubbers have rotted away. The Duo would also need recap and probably a whole new laser and spindle assembly, the old one likely got rusted and warped and can't be salvaged.

If I was going to make a CD-less Duo it'd have to be for a lot less than the current bid amount.

wilykat

And it's now $286.25  Are those dirt made of gold??

Sold for $437

I should take a shit on my non working TG16 controller and try selling that.

Piss on it first.

Then you'll be golden.

Literally and figuratively.

The idiot who won bid three times at the end and the end price is only the max of the second biggest idiot. So who knows how much they were willing to pay for a pile of dirty incomplete untested Turbo items. Maybe they all thought that it comes with two System 3.1 cards that they plan to flip for $300 each?

The winner also has a feedback score of over 8 thousand.

This deserves to be in the dumb buyers thread.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

I am 99% certain that the buyer has a soot fetish.

You read that right.

Not a foot fetish.

Just take a minute to look at what items are selling for before listing fever hits.

If you look at his other auctions, he wants a grand for a NES and has Keith Courage listed for $50.  I think his old lady told him to get rid of all his collectibles.  He told her that if he could sell them on ebay, he would.  If not, he would keep them.

Probably the same seller who wanted $10,000 for a Lynx game.

I need to do something like this. Show off something I have that no one else can have or is very rare, and set it at a price so high only fools would consider buying.  If it doesn't sell, I'd know how many people are envious by how many watchers and views.  If it sells, I'll sell it and wait for another to come up for less to buy and keep extra cash.

Now where did I put that CIB Turbografx CD set...?  :-"

The funny part is he didn't even try to sell them, all those listings were taken down because "there was an error in the listing."

My original theory still stands.  My guess is that his wife first listed the items.  He saw it, freaked and ended the auctions.  Holy hell broke out at his house and he relisted the items at the correct prices (ahem).

It certainly is!  Ever since he made his TurboGrafx announcement, I have been hording copies of Keith Courage.  I just know it is going to be the next $100+ title.  I have over 100 copies now.  Yup, it's gonna go up in value...any day now...just waiting...

There's a store near me that has a 5 loose copies of Kieth Courage that it hasn't sold for years for $5.  I went in recently and they upped the price to $20.  I asked why, and they said "Turbo Grafx games are very popular these days."  There were still 5 copies.

They weren't selling at $5, but maybe they'll sell at $20!?  Good luck, store!

I think my utter ignorance of Kanye has made this shirt far more intriguing than it ought to be.

Yeah, I have heard stuff like that. Also Store owners talking how they have many TG16 games in the back but in no hurry to sell them as they put it the price just keeps going up the longer they don't sell.

The store local to me is known to do that occasionally sometimes too.  I guess the owner is a collector too so I'm not sure if they're going into his personal library or he's just waiting for prices to rise though.

There was a store near me a Demon's souls Deluxe Edition that was quite beat up. Marked around $30-40 originally iirc. Sat there forever. At some point the price was raised to $90 and it sold. I will never understand people.

A more recent example is an anime set I've been following on Ebay. Originally listed at $60 it received no bids and I was hoping it would be relisted for less. Well since it didn't sell logically it must be worth more money and the guy has now been listing it for $75 the last several times. Of course it's not selling, but why lower the price?  ](*,)

If you have the time to sit on something, all it takes is one overly anxious person who wants it now.  Of course, if you're running a business, it seems that volume would make you more money in the long run.

I pretty much refuse to buy loose GBA games at any premium anymore.  I'm pretty good at sussing out the boots but they're like everywhere now.

There is another local gaming store that sells them too and doesn't even mention it.  I went to that place once and then was like NOPE, never going back.

Was it pretty obvious that it was intentional? I try to give stores the benefit of the doubt and point out when they have bootlegs of something.

Well I sent a message 2 days ago now asking if they had any real ones because they are bootlegs and got no reply and the item is still for sale.

Oh that was more of a question for element. I assume most people selling booties on Ebay are

xcrement5x

Yeah, the local guy had to have known they were boots.  He had some Pokemon hacks for sale, then loose copies of Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Metroid Fusion among others as well that to a trained eye like mine were visibly bootlegs.  He had to have known, I'm sure he bought a bundle direct from Aliexpress for optimum flipping.
