@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

I am going to purchase a flash cart from IC2005 soon. I was wondering if flashing the ROM for the Super System v3.0 cart onto it would allow me to play Super CD-Rom discs in my TG CD console?  The ROM is listed on various TG ROM sites and I just wanted to know if anyone has tried this. Thanks.

It won't work.

The System Card 3.0 isn't just a BIOS, it also contains actual RAM. You can't emulate actual RAM with the flash cart.

nat's right. System cards are pretty complex little beasties; the BIOS is just one part. There's also addressing circuitry and, of course, the RAM. On the ACD, there's additional circuitry and more RAM.

O.k., then will PCE ROMs work on my TG16 through the use of the flash cart?

Good, cause I'm dying to play Splatterhouse for the PCE.  The purple mask just doesn't cut it!

However, before you purchase, you may want to read through some of these the following threads:

My flash cart has stopped working on my TG-16, it's been a complete waste of money.

You can flash 1.0 and 2.0 system cards for you TG CD console and they'll work fine, but if you flash 3.0 card, you'll get corrupt graphics(since the ram is missing from the card) and possibly cash the game. They could have added ram to the flash card and left it enabled for small roms(like the bios card), but they didn't. I'm not sure if the extra ram for Populous is simulated or not, but the bank switch hardware for street fighter 2 is supported. This is from my experience with tototek, I'm not sure about Neo Flash. I'd rather support tototek

If you have a non working tototek card, talk to the guy that makes them over at his site. He might be able to help you out.

Unfortunately, it's a non-working Neo Flash Cart. I believe they're located somewhere in China. Customer service support? What's that?  ](*,)

Actually if you log onto their forums and talk to the guy that makes them he will probably exchange it for you. I saw him do this in the past for someone else.

if that doesn't work, I'll buy it off you. See if the problem is with the flash cart or your system.

Good call, Nat. Hopefully, that works.
