@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

All,

Bottom line up front:  I'm not trying to create a competing group buy with the SD2SNES GB that is in progress.  That Everdrive isnt what I'm looking for for a few reasons (cost being a big one).  If you are interested in the basic Super Everdrive, post here and lets see if we can put something together.  For more details on the Super Everdrive, go here:

http://shop.retrogate.com/Super-Everdrive-v2-SED2.htm

Details:  We need 10 folks to sign up/pay to make this happen.  The Group Buy cost for just the card (no cart housing or USB port) is $60.  I figure the cost per person for the reshipping (US only just to keep the math simple) would be around $68.  This would save you about $17 (including shipping).  I believe folks that want the USB port or Cart Shell can add that individually and it wont affect the group buy.

Fine Print:  I am active duty Air Force stationed in Germany which means I have a German and US address to ship to.  Retrogate does not ship to Germany.  So, if I ran this GB I would have to ship all the Everdrives to my US address.  This wont effect the cost, it will just take a long time since I think they would be shipped from Europe to the US and back to Europe.  Additionally, I would then have to ship everyone their Everdrives from here.  Again, the cost would be the same, it would just take a lot longer.  What I'm getting at is:  it would make more sense for someone other than me to head up this GB.

Anywho, post here if your interested.  We can work out who is doing what to whom once we get 10 folks signed up.  Let's make this happen.  I am going broke buying SNES carts because they are so damn pricey.

This is one of my favorite EverDrive carts.  So many RPG translations that can now be played on your console.  If anyone is on the fence with this, jump off.  It is well worth it!!

Fidde_se

Sign me up for one + shell, but Sweden instead of US so not so far away from you right now.

Gents,

There is a second go around of a huge everdrive group buy going on at Nintendo Age.  Read the first post first (it has been updated with all the particulars).  I am only in for the super everdrive, but I believe they ended up getting just about all of them the first round.  Linky:

Edit:  also, some dude made some kick ass labels for all varieties here:

Im also in on a super everdrive label

For basic flash cart functionality I'd recommend the Super UFO pro 8. Games like TMNT 4, International Super Star Soccer, Offroad 2, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, Megaman 7 etc work great. Once you replace the battery (and know your way around the sram method) you can play Super Metroid, Zelda, etc.

For games with special chips or too large (ie lots of "mega power"), I either get the cart (looking at you Yossy Island) or fire up le Wii. No flash cart is capable of playing everything anyways.

Gents,

I'm out on this one.  I got in on the NA GB I posted above.  I hope you did too.  Sorry if I let anyone down.  Anyone can feel free to pick this one up from me.

Yeah, I'm pretty happy with my Pro 8 also.  Only complaint is that it doesn't support long file names... makes naming things a real pain.  And the USB ports break off easily, but I never use that.

I never renamed my roms since the late 90's, so it was like a match made in heaven. Too bad these bad boys are no longer available. Perhaps the big N put some pressure on Amazon, who knows.
