Hi folks,

Happy to make my first post in this very nice community!

I'm trying to apply a region mod to my PCE Duo-R, which involves cutting some pins of the card slot. To do this I need to remove the metal cover, but how to achieve this is eluding me! (Since I don't want to apply pressure in the wrong place) Could anyone give me a hint as to the correct process?

Thanks!
Jim

p.s. Apologies if this is answered elsewhere on the forum but I couldn't see it.

you need to pry it up from the sides. Put a screwdriver in each one of those screw holes and pry them out in a sideways up motion.

I do it a bit different.

On the back with all the pins for the hu notice two notches in the metal.

Shove a small flat screw driver in under the metal and ontop of the plastic and lift slightly til the metal clears the plastic tab and hold it with one had. Do the same with the other tab and as you raise it push the metal forward the hand that is holding the raised one.  The whole thing will slide forward and off.
