So i replaced all the caps on the pc engine duo tested and it worked fine, The guy then wanted a region mod where i had to cut the HU card pins and it installed fine until i went to boot it and it goes straight to a white screen.

Later i found i had cut the WRONG pins ](*,)  http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=apfmu8&s=9

i then removed the mod and repaired the pins i cut and still have the white screen. So I'm guessing now i have fried a chip?

If it is a chip how would i find out what one? Also where could i order?

I don't think it is the chip.

If you soldered the pins together a lot of times the solder joints crack when inserting hucards.

It's best to use small wires to reconnect the pins again as the shock of inserting a hucard want break any solder joints.

Wow, you cut some of those pins off really short. Check with a flash light to see if any of the pins got out of place in the hu card slot. If the pins are super short on the hu card end there is a risk of them heating up too much when soldering(if iron is held on too long)and moving/melting out of place. Also, check the traces on the underside of the board.

Does the white screen happen even without a card inserted? Meaning no CD bios screen? These traces are typically damaged from the bottom side of the board. So make sure all the pins traces have good connection on the bottom side.

Ill check everything once again. Yes i had a hu card in there same deal white screen, Then if i click off then back on sometimes it goes to yellow.

Yep I'm not getting continuity from two pins from under board solder was cold. The one pin thats super short is going to be hard to grab. Is there a Entire HU card slot replacement for these online?

looks like the slot got too hot and the pins started backing out.  can see the wider part on some of them showing.

you are going to have to find a parts board or someone with a dead console that is willing to sell you a slot if you cant get them shoved back up in there and have them stay in place.  the inside part may have melted too causing them to lose contact with the hu card.

I have some slots if you need
I can see from the pic you pulled pins out some
If it boots CD bios the chips are fine so start there
The chip effected is the HuC6280 if you did kill one
