I bought a junky LT a while back, and made it in to a great looking machine with some help from a friend that re-capped and cleaned the board with a pressured micro washer..  anyways I retro-brighted it and it looks and plays great.

My only problem is the AC adapter input.  I have the OEM AC Adapter, but it sits loosely so that when I'm playing and I move a little bit, the game loses connectivity for a split second and restarts.  I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with this problem.

It sounds like it's simply bad soldering on the DC input, but that isn't the case.. I was wondering if anyone has tried and 3rd part AC adapters that sit a little more snug?  Also has anyone tried any battery mods?  I'm thinking of making a rechargeable battery supply that connects to the back SCART pins.  Thanks

The original AC is crappy poo poo. It ruins the AC adapter port in these systems because the tip is slightly larger than it is supposed to be. Makes everything all loose which usually makes it necessary to have the AC jack replaced at some point. Whenever I replace the AC jack in these for a customer I tell them not to use the original power supply anymore.

Basically anything from 7V-9V 1A(1000ma)with the correct tip size(1.35mm) will work. These work great but the cable length is a bit short. https://www.ebay.com/itm/US-7-5V-1A-Power-Supply-Adapter-Mains-wall-charger-3-5mmx1-35mm/172565129472?hash=item282daee900:g:fkoAAOxy5QtSBhD6

I'd try another AC adapter first but you might end up having to have the input jack replaced.

Thanks for this, I suppose that was put together hastily at the end of project LT.  I'll be replacing the jack and getting a new AC adapter soon, cool.

If you happen to know any place to find LT mods on I'd want this thing 4K and WiFi access tomorrow.  Joking but whatever mods available are appreciated.

All I've mainly seen is people doing new screen mods for these but in my opinion it's not really worth it unless the original screen is no good.

These make great replacement jacks for the LT systems https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-10pcs-DC-Power-Jack-Socket-DC-002-1-3-x-3-5-mm-Black-3-5-1-3MM/322162741242?hash=item4b02654ffa:g:hHYAAOSwepJXaWDR
