There's a version put out with a virus. Only the one with the
artwork and the readme is real.

Umm, neither I guess. It's the first 3d Sonic game and on the Saturn. It was nearly completed but never officially released. M.H. is correct - this isn't the place for torrent downloads.

This is definitely not Sonic X-Treme. Where are those curved graphics that we always see? This is like a crippled version of the world from Sonic Jam running at a faster framerate. There's nothing to even do. You can collect rings if you try really hard, but that's it.

There were two versions, this is the proof of concept, the fish-eye came after sonic team had a fit. It was canned as well.

@ the piracy claims, this isn't a released game you can get in a store, it's no different than finding a beta of strider or
some unreleased pce games.

I haven't downloaded it, but I'm guessing that this is the Sonic demo that uses the NiGHTs engine(if really real)?

It's real and it runs, but you're in a small area with nothing to do but run around and listen to JP/EU Sonic CD music. It's really only good for showing off some smooth Saturn frame rates. It runs a lot faster than Nights. I haven't tested it with the analog control pad.

If anyone really cares, I might be able to be troubled to upload a 60fps video, direct feed from my Saturn.

Here is my video. It's short, but trust me that I left absolutely nothing out. This is the entire "game" from start to final boss. I did truncate the time you wait for the Game Over screen, though. It's a bit over 1 minute long. Sorry about the large file size, but these are full 60fps.

It doesn't really matter what the torrent is of,this just does not seem like the place for it. Torrentspy,piratebay,those places are there for a reason,so you don't need to direct link to the torrent from here on a thread.Just state there is a torrent of it up. Anyone can word search a torrent on any torrent site. Wether its finished material or not,Sonic is Segas property. I have no prob seeing this stuff floating around,but only if its via the proper "pirate" channels,in other words torrents belongs with torrent sites,not pcengine-fx.com.

Let the torrent sites take the heat incase Sega or anyone else gets pissed over the torrent. The last thing this site needs is to be tagged as a site promoting piracy falsely just because a few people post direct links to junk. The torrent sites can afford to have legal issues,they advertise porn,Nanto doesn't. He can't even afford to post here more then once a year.

I am glad that assembler posted it because I wouldn't have found it if he had not posted it. I don't think that it is really illegal, being that it was never released and that sega could give less of a shit about a 1 minute demo of old 32 bit technology. the people at sega who made that probably don't even work there anymore.

Kitsunexus,so I take it you rely on just finding out about this stuff on normal threads? If so your sorely missing out. Try torrent sites. Also,this isn't anything special. Its fuckin Sonic rendered in 2d at different angles running about on a hack of Nights. Now if this was Shenmue for Saturn,that would be important.

Oh and I'm sure you prob weren't serious when you just told me to fuck off and die for no damn good reason other then me stating I am against torrent threads here,but just incase....yea,I'll fuck off and die when you stop thinking about fucking rabbits and cats in your squirrel costume,so nobody hold their breath,thats not likely to happen anytime soon. Anyway, it's been a while since I've jumped back into my Sonic Xtreme phase, and as such I haven't been checking sites like Sonic CulT or The GHZ (I CAN'T even check The GHZ, cuz I'm banned ;) ). So I'm glad this thread was made.

And as for the furry thing being your last resort and sort of "a low blow", it really isn't. I've heard it all before, many a time. You aren't doing anything groundbreaking or offensive.

You're just showing (as per the usual) your below-average intellect when it comes to thinking before speaking. If you weren't under the Internet delusion that everyone cares about what you have to say, then MAYBE you might be a cool guy.
