Ok so the use of pod was a bad choice of words, but that assfruit still has seeds.  It's nature's example of a pile of self propagating asses.  Oranges are much better than pineapples and I seriously don't know what mental disorder caused you to hate peppers as a child, but don't worry I'll help.  I'll go back in time and find that giant pepper monster that kicked your ass on a daily basis and ate all your childhood dogs.  Once I do that I'm sure you'll be fixed.  Now I just need to find out what heinous experiments your family did on you as a kid to make you like eating ass......

I voted It's pretty good, but i like other fruits better. While the pineapple is one of my favorites, there are other fruits I like better. The fruits I like better are the mango, kiwi and strawberry. I also love the orange, but it doesn't outrank the pineapple. I also love peppers and pepper sauces. Heck, I don't think that there is a food that I dislike. lol. At least I haven't tried one that I didn't like. heh.

I used to hate cutting pineapples as well. That was until I bought this cool pineapple cutting tool. It looks like a giant plastic corkscrew. Simple slice off the top of the pineapple with a knife and then screw out the flesh with your tool. lol. That sounded wrong, but it is so right. After that you will have perfectly sliced pineapple that resembles the shape that you see from cans. Also, you can pull the core out of the shaft of your plastic corkscrew and eat that too. The core is a bit tough and resembles a wiener, so I usually don't eat it. haha.

Pineapple is certainly good stuff, but if I were stuck on a deserted island, I'd rather that it had banana, kiwi, and plum trees.  Here's a fun challenge for any green thumbs: grow another fruit from the next fresh pineapple you eat.

I live in the middle of the desert, and I still stay as far away from Dominos, Pizzahut, Popa Johns(super nasty), etc. I grew up on huge home made sicilian pizzas. My father forbade us from eating that "card board CRAP". Luckily there's a few good pizza places here in the old pueblo I can eat, since pizza is just too expensive to make all the time.

 As for pineapple on pizza, never in the million years. That's just nasty. All kinds of other stuff goes though - like 'feta cheese+garlic+broccoli' topping.

Most people I know- including me to a degree- consider all of that shit you mentioned sacrilege.  I live in Queens, NY and there's some of the best pizza in the world every few steps.  Dominoes- as I said I'll only tolerate if it's Hawaiian- then I don't have to try to delude myself into thinking it's actually pizza- like most of you guys are thinking- who the fuck puts pineapple on their pizza?  Dominoes isn't pizza.  It's cardboard with plastic cheese and bitter sauce- so the more insane the topping the better...  But yeah- I eat Dominoes only out of necessity (they deliver late) and only maybe twice a year at the MOST (98% of the time for late night starvation fixes I'll drive to 7-11 or White Castle)- I've never even ordered it to my apartment or the previous one- only have it when some other moe orders it...  Neighborhood pizzerias- I eat from once a week at least- and I never put pineapple or even ham for that matter on real pizza.  I like spinach, plum tomatoes, meatball, prosciutto, mushrooms, sausage and pepperoni- not all together of course.

I think they go pretty awesome with pizza, if you don't mind the extra saltiness. They have such a strong, unique, tender taste, I think they could go well with about anything that isn't sweet. I once killed a co-worker in an anchovie eating contest.

I prefer tinned pinapples.. Do you guys soak freshly cut pinapples in warm salted water?  It was something my folks did to draw out the sweetness although u could still taste the salt.. ughh..  Thats why I prefer the tinned stuff.

Pineapples were super cheap in the Philippines... 10 pesos (a little less than 25 cents) can get you a fresh pineapple from the public market in Tarlac.

In a supermarket yesterday over here in California I saw the same size pineapple for $4.99...

Some of the opinions on this thread have made me curious- so- even though I said I'll only have ham & pineapple on Dominoes and not on real pizza- I gave it a go being that the office was treated to lunch today.  My judgment- pineapple has no business being on real pizza- neither does diced ham for that matter.  Seriously- I feel like I'm gonna be sick. 

Luckily a co-worker couldn't finish her fried eggplant topped pizza- now that shit is working...
