So last week I went to that Pac-Man 30th anniversary exhibition in Akihabara (3331 Arts Chiyoda) and what can I say, they had about every pacman game and system on which a pac man game could run at the start (world wide).

Since I was too late, I had only about 10 minutes time left for checking all these nice items, so I just rush through the rooms and tried to catch everything possible with my cam (sure to deliver them to posterity). Therefore I am sorry for the not so nice done pics here and there.

thanks for taking lots of pics, Tats :)

I didn't realize there was a pac-man game for the CD-I. Was it traditional Pac-man or something newer?

That was awesome!  That was great seeing US systems in Japan.  I didn't even know they allowed TurboGrafx-16s and Sega Genesises to exist over there, I thought they were illegal!

WTF is "Microscopic Pac Man"???  Who wants to play a game through a microscope?  I must know more!

this is a very small LCD screen (one of the probably smallest screen done yet), on which original arcade pac man is running. I have checked the screen through that monocular, and the resolution was that high, I couldn't even spot one pixel. I think this is kinda similar screen they using in those fake DSLR cameras, which do pretend to show you the real picture, but instead by a skipable mirror, by a small LCD display built in the camera.

Tons of neato pics, tats!  Thanks for sharing.

Google says the CD-i saw Ms. Pac-Man on a Namco Arcade Classics compilation with Galaxian and Galaga (click here for a rather poopy video) and a port of the Puyo-Puyo-esque puzzler, Pac-Attack.  Holy shit, real games on a CD-i!  I didn't think they existed.

Wow that was great Tats!  Thanks for sharing!  I find it funny seeing all those US/UK systems and computers in Japan.  Do people in Japan  besides you even like the Amiga?  Those were some great pics.  I like the table with the boxed systems.  It was nice seeing that Amiga 500 box along with the rest of the systems.  I wouldn't mind that cocktail Pac Man.

termis

Man, you must've flown through the whole exhibit to get all that in 10 min or so!  It seems like that's worth at least a couple hours of browsing.

Thanks for sharing.  I was particularly intrigued by the microscopic pac-man as well.

HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

I'm surprised how thorough they were here. Getting every US GBA version, every Genesis version, even that piece of shit Spectrum. This is the first time I've actually seen a Japanese C64...and that Sharp X68k is really fucking cool looking.

This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!
