What is it about this forum that attracts so many posers?

I'm not sure how many posts I've started in the Chit Chat section. Probably none. I prefer to stick to the FS area, mainly. Hamburgers are better with mustard. This isn't a serious question though, and I guess PCEFX people are the only ones who will want to talk about it. Why is it this forum has so little people on it, and even more so, why so little that actually play games?

Every few months or so, when the sign up approvals go through, we get a batch of new people who cant, or don't play games. You get, maybe one normal guy, but he only plays China Warrior, and the rest of them are people buy up games they never play, or play past level 1, awesome people who used to complete most all the games they bought, but who now only troll here, and 4 guys from New Jersey who are actually all Nintenga 16, or whatever the fuck his name is.

After a few weeks...the boringness of these people comes out. They start threatening to sell their collection, they complain about how hard Lords of Thunder is, they attempt to buy moar games, they buy them sealed, or, usually, just MASSIVE attention whores that inevitably start a thread explaining why they are or are not a fucking master of power metal shooting on a certain game, but only real Asians are true masters at games, and they are never banned. Then they come back every day to talk about the newest game they bought that they will never play through.

Its really fucking weird, IMO. Are the NES forums like this? I mean, Neo-geo.com is full of The Drama, but %80 percent of the collectors there actually beat play and beat their games, since Neo games take maybe 30 mins each to beat and stuff. Assholes, wannabe SNK Day pro tournament players, sure, but not so fucked up that SignOfZeta is normal by comparison.

Theories?

One thing I've noticed is that the regulars, the guys that have been here of years, don't play anything...or at least they can put up a pretty good front by masking one game purchase with 15 new Hong Kong action flicks or anime dvds. Some like Tatsujin don't bother hiding the fact they have game hoarding problems... Oh, and you cant trust the new black members, they steal everything.

Mike.....I think it is the just the opposite for the old timers. We have had had the bulk of our collections finished for years
and have more time to play. I used to spend hours a week searching and keeping up on the best prices for games.
Now that I have a good mix of games I am happy with, I just reach into the shelf and start playing.
