We have had numerous discussions about scaling the TG or Duo to a modern lcd so I thought this link might come in handy. I dont know how good it is but it might help out a few people.

That's sort of a good sign though. That means its not based on the same chip as the GBS-8220, which is a total motherfucker to get synced to a PCE.

The 240p thing probably isn't an issue anyway. Most LCD TVs don't support 240p either, yet they display the image. Badly, but they display it. They just treat it as 480i with similar results.

The scart to RGB/component adapter I use is the CSY2100 which works perfectly for other consoles I've tested it on. Mainly the Sega Saturn and the jvc xeye.

thus my point.
the biggest cause of twitchy, glitchy PCE video on an LCD is the de-interlacer cant decide which frame is field A and which is field B (makes sense as the PCE only outputs field A)
properly supporting 15Khz progressive (240P) eliminates that

Yes, but costs somewhere between 5 and 10 times as much as this product.

Just my two cents but I use one of these for most of my consoles. I combined it with a couple of scart commanders. http://keene.co.uk/electronic/keene-electronics/syncblaster-component-to-rgb-convertor-(uk-psu)/RGB2c.html And http://keene.co.uk/electronic/keene-electronics/keene-scart-commander-twin-pack-promo/KSCT.html you would only need to swap out the power adapters as I did for Australian use.

Mine was around $43 shipped off of Ebay. Amazon has similar prices give or take $5-10. Made a comparison video for the JVC X'EYE composite vs component, but you get the idea of what it would possibly look like on other consoles:

wow a tv that supports 240P component
mine only does 240P RGB

PikachuWarrior

Yeah TVs that support 240p are not too abundant in this day and age, but mine is 1080p 40 inches and fairly new. One or two years, tops on the market.

all i know is i own a gbs-8200 unit and it works fantastic. I have a 720p hdtv and it scales the picture perfect with no lag that i can see. it also filters the picture to look alittle smoother. I'm not a tech wizard so dont ask me how it works, all i can tell you is it just does. I have hooking up my duo without the scaler and it looks like crap.
