I finally got a Turbo Booster locally, in a lot that included a system.  I'm looking to resell the system.  Includes a TurboPad and original AC Adapter.  The bad news is the RF output is not good at all, barely displays.  The console is fine with the booster, but obviously I'm keeping that.  Visual condition is excellent.  Any takers at $40.00 ?

I think your a bit high on price.
I have 3 and dont need another.
try the rf with a different cable, it may not be the system

You should do something cool with it.  Hmmm...  What cool stuff can you do with a TG?

Well obviously it looks horrific, so maybe painting it white would help?  With go-faster stripes :D

And then you could mod it in any number of ways.  Why don't you RGB mod it?  Even if it goes wrong, you still have your other system.

Probably be about as successful selling a TG16 here as selling Keith Courage :)

I also have an extra TG16, I'll probably try some fun mod on it. Too bad the s-vid mod looks really tough.

It's definitely the system.  The guy I got it from never actually used RF, which is ironic.  His came with the booster and always used that.

Oh? Would it be easy to do on a TG16+CD combo? The video is still generated by the TG16 I assume, so the CD attachment probably has nothing to do with it. How can I find out more? I'd friggin' love s-video on my Turbo!

You know the TG16 and PC engines have RGB and sync lines on their back connector. In theory you could just build a SCART or BNC video cable to connect without any mods.

Thanks thesteve, I think I will give that a shot.

Unfortunately, the IFU and stuff don't.

This "max-level forum psycho" () destroyed TWO PC Engine groups in rage: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook "Because Chris 'Shadowland' Runyon!," then the other by Aaron Nanto "Because Le NightWolve!" Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together... Both times he blamed the Aarons in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged, destructive, toxic turbo troll gang!

I know, I just meant the naked TG16 and Core Grafx on their own. A modded IFU would be the ultimate solution as it does not require any modifications to the actual systems and supports CD games as well.

But I am a little surprised that no one has ever made a SCART cable for just the TG16/Core Grafx systems.

If I am not mistaken the signals on those ports need a bit of boosting to work well on most TV's so that might be the problem.

In college I had a Commodore RGB monitor for a Neo Geo MVS setup. I rigged up a very poor man's "cable" to pull RGB off the TG16's expansion port and I remember it working just fine. But then my standards for video quality (especially back then) might not live up to most people's.

Those Amiga monitors are very good quality wise. An unboosted naked signal might lack a bit of brightness, but will be fine otherwise.
