Last weekend we went down to the Yokohama harbour (minato mirai) and I had the chance to take some random shots of few vintage BMWs, I hadn't even see ever before in my life. So I don't even know their names or from which exact era they come from. Feel free to add any informations about if you like.

So just for those who like. Took 'em mostly for our highly regarded member BlueBMW aka Benby :)

Here we go:

Dang, those are not your average everyday bimmers. The only one I can name off the top of my head is the Isetta, which isn't a proper BMW anyway, and it's dirt common compared to the other stuff. I recognize the 60s/70s roadster and The coup (a 503, evidently) but the war/pre-war stuff is beyond me.

Those cars must be rare as hell in Japan.

WOW, that's an amazing collection!  you wont see that many vintage BMWs in one place except maybe at the headquarters in Germany or at the musuem at the factory in south carolina!

Great pictures. I assume you have a great camera as well? :P

Edit:
Or maybe, as you live in Japan, you have one of those fancy cell phones which got cameras that blow my little digicam cam away.
CHECKPOINT!

Here in the states the cars would be cordoned off and one would have at least another several feet between the rope and the cars.  How awesome to see them up close.

Haha, at first I thought that handle on the front was a machine gun sticking out of the bonnet.
