Combining the pcengine.freeforums chat window with the pcenginefx forums

Hey all! I've been tinkering with a simple web page that incorporates both the chat window over at pcengine.freeforums.org with the forums here and I think I have achieved reasonable success. Here's the html file I've come up with (right-click and save as to download).

Linky  You can download it and run it off your computer or use the link from my website, though I may tinker with it from time to time.

I also made a blog post about it, which you can read here.  There's also a screenshot of it in action.

When you open up the file in your browser, there's a button at the top of the screen that will display and hide the chat window.  You need to first log in and navigate to the chat window, but then even if you hide it, it's will update in the background so it's current when you display it again.

Anyway, I thought some folks here might find it handy so I wanted to share.   Maybe some of you fellow web nuts will make it better!

It looks awesome!  I still can't use the chat though.  I need my account to be approve?  Not to take this off-topic, but is there any way to activate my account over there?  It's been over 6 months.    Could someone here, escalate it to someone there?  Are the mods even the same?

You need to talk to sunteam I believe. He never set up mods on the pce-free-forums.  That whole site is kind of on hold, except the chat.

I've made a couple of minor tweaks: made the that window narrower so there's more space for the forums on-screen, and got rid of the second scroll bar when the chat window is closed.

Yeah, that's why I linked to it here.  People can just run it from their desktop (or the link in my post).  If anyone else had Admin Rights, we'd probably be able to integrate a chat box without having to go this route.
