I wondered the same thing, so I contacted the seller asking if there was a price that might buy it now. What I got back was I have no idea at this time..... Hmmmm.... If you put a reserve on something you know what your outright price would be. The rest is just greed setting in...

bob

smells like it could be one of those where the reserve is way high, knowing it won't get there just to see what it gets bid up to.

majors

no cases? so nothing is CIB?

Looks like it's the CDs, manuals, and case inserts. Just no physical cases, which isn't a big deal... except for the double-cases, like Vasteel.

Bernie

I think its a giant deal actually.  How many of us have kept our music cd collections in one of these binders?  They get scratches and scuffs on them too easily.  I'd steer clear of this auction altogether, but that's just my opinion.

Bklyn4ever

I also think this listing is shady. I saw this list 2 days prior as a buy now with free shipping. It sold for $240 buy now on the 15th. Then was relisted 2 days later with a reserve! Smh.

Bklyn4ever

Yes it would be. I would have jumped on it in a heart beat

Ninja16608

I saw this too and thought how good of condition would the cds be in being stuck in the binder for all this time. The felt in the binders dies over time and causes fine particle dust that create scratches on the disk, I know this from experience, thankfully not my turbo cds but audio cds. I would also steer clear if the same thing was just up there for 240 BIN and suddenly back with a reserve??? something smells fishy...and my Ex-wife is not even around.

madboom0522

Ninja, that is so wrong........

HAHAHA Boom thought you might like that.

lol put the reserve too high and see what the collection is worth in the world......
The older you get, the more rules they are going to try and get you to follow. You just gotta keep on livin', man. L-I-V-I-N. -Wooderson (AKA:Matthew McConaughey)

I asked the seller why it was being relisted and if he's running a scam: not surprisingly, his responses were rather pissy (a few good lulz were had, where he suggested I think before typing and him essentially calling me a big meanie).  His reason was that there was an error in the original listing, even though the descriptions are nearly identical and the only real error I can see being that he set the BIN too low.

Is it really? Did you ask the seller?

I actually wouldn't be surprised at all if it goes that high, given how much Turbo stuff has been selling for recently.

madboom0522

I have talked with people who are in contact with him and that is his baseline. I have talked with him and asked what he would take and he say's he does not know. My logic is, (then why the hell is there a reserve?)....
Titles to complete... Caught them all....

because he is probably relying on a bidding war happening.

He would most likely fair better if he sold each their own.... Who knows what shape the disc's are in though...

Ask for pics of the data side lol and use a good camera outside in natural light, it works best

NecroPhile

One of the few changes made to the description is to add a note about 'em needing to be resurfaced, so I'm betting they're pretty bad.

so your saying you dont like playing the game into over and over?

madboom0522

That is a correction on the condition.... However stated that only a few are in bad shape.... Still what the hell do you do with copies of the same disc besides sell or trade? Most people here problem have those games.. There are a few rares but... $1000? Nah...Pass....

tggodfrey

that is the reason I think he is going for the auction bid war.  that pack of CD's is very attractive for a reseller.

DildoKKKobold

I have used sleeves like that, on CDRs. They caused massive bit rot. I don't know how they'd do on production style CDs, but I wouldn't spend $1000.... or even $300 to find out.

Are you crazy. I wouldn't help him boost the auction a friggin dime. Looks to me like this vag needs some vinegar and water AKA the Douche.   My apologies to any female or male members I may offend but shit like this is the reason some of us can't get the harder to find titles for a decent price and it just burns my ass.

This guy is probably an extra large vag so i'm pulling out the douchekeg as the bag is just not enough.

This will come as a shock, but the high bidder has a feedback score of 13748!

They must play a lot of games.
Justin the Not-So-Cheery Black/Hack/CrackTiger helped Joshua Jackass, Andrew/Arkhan Dildovich and the DildoPhiles destroy 2 PC Engine groups: one by Aaron Lambert on Facebook, then the other by Aaron Nanto!!! Him and PCE Aarons don't have a good track record together! Both times he blamed the Aarons and their staff in a "Look-what-you-made-us-do?!" manner, never himself nor his deranged/destructive/doxxing toxic turbo troll gang which he covers up for under the "community" euphemism!

Lol, no kidding... how long until we see these again, I wonder?

Keith Courage

Why did they pay so much? Not worth that much money at all.

Ninja16608

Yeah i watched that with MadBoom. That's sickening. Boom and I were betting what the final price was going to be lol. Hope no one here helped to drive it up :-(

madboom0522

I'm sure we will see them within the month. Once the cases and labels are put with the games....

When I bought mine in 2005 I paid 55 USD for it, and it was mint out of the original shipping box...how times change...
