@GTV reviews the Cosmic Fantasy 1-2 Switch collection by Edia, provides examples of the poor English editing/localization work. It's much worse for CF1. Rated "D" for disappointment, finding that TurboGrafx CF2 is better & while CF1's the real draw, Edia screwed it up...

Anyone watching this????  :-s

pc_kwajalein

I'd like to watch more, but nearly all the matches during the week happen when I'm at work, but I can snag a couple weekend contests. I'm pulling for the US Mens' team even though I'm sure they'll fall to some of the better European and Latin American clubs.

I usually watch the Womens' World Cup with more interest since the US women are a powerhouse every year.
My past-life would've surely led to our demise, and I had left it not a moment too soon. Our escape, though dangerous, had gone well. The train ride, sunlight, and passing snow-covered pine trees came together in a flickering show of our bright, new future together. Her head rested on my shoulder as she soundly slept to the gentle rocking of the passenger car. We felt freedom. We felt peace.

I contemplated taking off of work one of these days just to watch games - up here in Milwaukee there's a bar called Nomad that throws a crazy party during the World Cup every 4 years. They actually constructed a replica outdoor Brazilian Favela/Beer Garden next to the bar. The crowds are crazy for just about every game (tons of German and East European ex-pats in the city).

The games start around 4pm in the UK and go on until about 1am. I've watched a few games (missed most of USA vs Ghana but knew the USA were going to win after about 10mins). I don't follow football generally but I do watch most of the world cup games that I can because it has a different atmosphere to most football games.

I don't give a @@@@ about sports in general, and soccer is pretty @@@@, but I enjoyed watching a few games (Mexico vs. Brazil was fun, US vs Ghana was a blast, etc. etc.).

Futbol can suck my left one, though.

No thanks. Baseball is great... to play. Watching it however, is a shade less amusing than observing ants carry sugar granules back to the colony.

Lmao.

I like watching games at a stadium, other wise it's a total bore.

The U.S game was phenomenal. I've been catching free streaming of the games on the Spanish network Univision. They have a nice HD feed and the commentators are a riot to listen to.

Goooooooooaaaal

I enjoy watching futbol if for nothing else but the lack of commercials.  Every other sport stops every minute or so to feed you a load of crap commercials.  Futbol might have a few at halftime but the rest of the time its just go go go without stopping for ads.

I love me some baseball, but going to a game up here is 60% baseball and 40% "enjoying the scene" to be honest (i.e. tailgating). Whereas the NFL is so damn expensive to attend that you better be payin' attention to WTF is going on at all times.

Soccer is like NCAA Basketball to me - I give zero fucks about it during the regular season, but during big tournaments, it's must-see TV.
