Anyone going to the upcoming retro gaming expos?

Is anyone going to try and get to the Classic Gaming Expo in Vegas, Retro palooza in Dallas, or Retro Gaming Expo in Portland this year?

I really want to go, but 2 are coming up quick like this week and next, but Portland isn't for another month, so I might try and go to that one.

MAGFest and MGC are my main "retro" events, I mostly do Anime cons and tournaments. I hear good things about Portland and CGE but those might not be best for me.

I'm using my frequent flyer miles to get to the Portland expo and am staying with a friend... that means all the money I can save up between now and then will be spent solely on games.

I can't speak for last year as I didn't go (far too many deaths in the family) but the year before that was a blast. Jibbajaba and myself had a lot of fun. They even had a AES setup there! And Saturn Bomberman! Free arcade games! Some deaf dude was selling a bunch of turbo boxes and a few good games for ok prices. And the after party well was pretty cool too. Drinks were a bit expensive so I ended up going to Ground Kontrol (Barcade) and I believe they gave you a discount if you had your convention badge. The downside, some of the vendors charge beyond ebay prices on their wares so be wary..

I just got back from the classic gaming expo and I had a great time. despite only bringing 200 bucks I picked up a good amount of stuff. I will post pics later on. it wasnt as big of a crowd as I thought due to retropolooza happening in the same month as cge but was an awesome time. hope there will be one next year. if not, ill have to check out portland

Holed up in a hotel in Joplin, Missouri on the way back from the show - good times had by all. If anyone was there - Majors, CDamm and myself were running the Windy Gaming booth.

I was at cge it was cool over there (cool as in cool stuff,not cool as in weather)
lots of retro sellers, there was gut selling loose 7800 power supply I wanted it it but was iffy on it since it wasn't in box.
Chances are I won't be at octurbofest because I plan to be at ghost the day before for the Walter Day event.
hopefully will have news on VGS in coming weeks,plan to stop at a venue to look it over and possible  talk a deal.

hoping doc set up an atari week so I can have atarimania event the same week be nice to have it connected.

Yeah I'm not so sure I'll go the premier of the Angry Video Game Nerd's movie as I have no interest in that nor meeting those youtube guys. I'm more into the hunting and gaming mood. And maybe join in some gaming tourneys if Bomberman or Mario Kart is there.

I made it to Classic Game Fest in Austin, TX this year. I was hoping to go to the gaming expo in Houston also, but it doesn't look like its going to happen.

If I was going to pick one event to go to next year, Seattle would be the one, followed by Portland.
