Do you believe that there will ever be a successor to the PC-FX?  I don't have a PC-FX, but TurboGrafx is golden.  With the announcement of Nintendo using some Turbografx games in their Virtual Console service on the Wii, and NEC supplying the ram or a system part to a Nintendo system two times in a row, I just wonder if NEC/Hudson will release a new system either by themselves, or join forces with Nintendo for the successor of the Wii.  A Joint partnership to battle the competition.
Let the old mix with the new.

Unfortunatly I don't see that happening.  I believe it was Sega who said it as they pulled the DC off the market.  There is no money in consoles anymore.  Sega could not compete with PS and MS cause they had too much money and a great backing.  Its cheaper and there is more money to be made in making the games while the big shots battle out the console wars.

What I want to know is why can't some of these golden companies make some real good old style games for the new system.  While alot of games for these newer systems are great games I miss hte old days of 2-4 buttons max to play, not ambidextrious insaity while your forced to hit 900 pressure sensitive buttons.

Maybe its just me though...

I hear you.  But if you look at Nintendo.  There controller doesn't have too many buttons.  Unless you are playing a 2d fighting game with the classic controller.
Let the old mix with the new.
