When I bought my Duo from Mr. Keith Courage, I asked for an S-video connection. He installed one for me, and sent an S-video to RCA connection cord. I'm fine with that but am wondering if there is a way to connect the duo as it is to my TV S-video to S-video? I know I'll need an audio hookup, but can that be spliced into an s-video cable?

So he installed a svideo jack on the duo? Just connect a svideo cable to your tv, the audio will need to be run by the rca cables to the audio jacks if he installed some, or the av cable if he didn't. If using the standard duo av cable you can ignore the composite video cable.

you will have to use the AV output on the duo for audio.  only hook up the red and white plugs (not yellow).  then connect the s-video to the same input you connected the red and white plugs.  you cannot get audio out of the s-video output.
